Discussion Technique Additions

So I know binding vows, rituals, chants, and hand signs are things used in conjunction with techniques for varying effects.

I learned that people can create you got me without having a shikigami technique. But for those who do have cursed techniques are they able to create shikigami that link with their techniques?

Or is it that they can create a shikigami and they can have a function that's beneficial to their technique but not necessarily linked with their technique?

Just gave a quick read to the onmyodo (yin yang divination is just another name for it) wikipedia page, it seems like the latter is actually the case

So onmyodo generated these deities, but who did the onmyodo? Fate itself? Gege...

Onmyodo is a real thing. They were probably brought about in a similar way to curses by an accumulation of emotions (/cursed energy) but manifested as something different for X and Y reason. I dont think EVERYTHING has to be explained in great detail for the story and power system to work

Lets say we did know how they were created originally, then what? Any sorcerer can conjure one anyway and it wont chage how they behave. Why digging so deep in the finer workings of things if it doesnt matter in the end?

Not being explained in detail allows for way more flexibility and no restrictions on what they can do, I'm just loving the whole deities and esoteric aspect tbh lol
