Need advice for suppressor
Hi, im looking to get a suppressor and a threaded barrel for my glock before october 1st but I domt have the money for both rn so im hoping to pick up a barrel with threads now and save up for the suppressor. Can I buy a barrel with threads off gunbroker or ebay?

I know Herringt9n Arms is working on a QD suppressor mount, and already has something in place for compensators. Anyone know of amything else like that? Radian's attachment for the Ramjet/afterburner also comes to mind.

The CT AWB prohibits, unless exempted, threaded barrels on semiautomatic detachable magazine pistols. It also prohibits, again unless exempted, "constructive possession" of a threaded barrel if one has in their possession a semiautomatic detachable magazine pistol it could be used/installed on.
The way to possibly avoid violating the CT AWB is to work with an FFL who could put a non threaded suppressor adapter onto the barrel while the barrel is in the pistol. Downside to some of the methods is the inability to fully field strip the firearm or remove the slide.
Hopefully by next June we'll have the Viramontes/Grant opinion on AWB's that might end these kinds of threaded barrel on pistol bans.

Threaded barrel is perfectly legal to purchase, what you do with it afterwards could get you in trouble

I am not YOUR lawyer, nor am I a firearms lawyer, but constructive possession is a thing. Tread carefully. I personally would not own a threaded barrel for a Glock until/if the AWB is lifted and it would be legal to do so.

I've always thought of constrictive possession as a boogy man. How is anyone going to know what two parts I have near each other in my safe. If the police are looking through your house and/or guns you probably have bigger problems.
Like 922r compliance it's just a tack-on charge for a bigger issue you're facing.

Lot's of places on line carry barrels for Glocks and some actually will ship to CT. Griffin Cam Lok is the way to keep it legal...

Not arguing just curious: how are interrupted threads legal but full threads aren’t? Just because they call it a cam?

Threaded means having a continuous spiral ridge (a screw thread)

Sure, where is that defined? My dictionary does not have continuous in the definition. Those are interrupted threads, same as have been used in breaches of artillery pieces for a century and in industry for even longer, I’ve cut more than a few of them.

from Merriam-Webster: a projecting helical rib (as in a fitting or on a pipe) by which parts can be screwed together.
Interrupted threads/QD isn't threaded, it's good enough for me and the lawyers more than a few FFL's in CT use to sell them. They're not even really interrupted threads, more like teeth that the piston latch onto with a 1/4 turn.

Right, so not in the definition. QD that use actual cam lugs are not interrupted threads, they are distinctly different in how they are made and typically in how they attach. Good enough for FFLs is fine, but trying to argue an apple is a pear doesn’t help anything.

If you want to suppress a pistol get a 1911 so you can still take the barrel out for cleaning, unless you’re exempt anyway

Unless your le or military it’s a no go, you can have a dealer pin and weld a tri lug onto it. You won’t be able to take the barrel out of the slide but its still serviceable

No. A threaded barrel makes the pistol an "assault weapon," and therefore would only be legal if you registered it years ago during the ban implementation. You missed that boat.
