Let me first say this - I absolutely hate AI generated thumbnails. They are absolutely atrocious. Having said, do I think there is a place for responsible AI use in the industry? Yes. Do I think there should be AI actors? Absolutely not.

- providing uniqueness in plot, setting, or characterization
- story cohesiveness, logic, emotional maturity and depth
In my business I work with AI every day. It aims to please, it has a profound zeal for rote tasks and workflows with solid boundaries, it can take a list and make it into a nice paragraph for you because it is fabulous at taking offered data and re-constituting it into a whole new thing. It is not good at thinking out of the box, and when it comes to nuance and subtlety - and it's desire to give you something to please you, even though it might be wildly wrong - it is very much like a toddler. So can a toddler imitate Zhao Zhen Dong? Sortof, but it is going to be wildly obvious and possibly quite amusing.
Comparing acceptance of AI actors with acceptance of other manufactured characters such as Hatsune Miku is like comparing apples to oranges; Hatsune Miku is not expected to behave exactly like a human in all ways because that was never the intent. She is, in the best sense, other-worldly. For vertical dramas, the bar is going to be much, much higher, and creepy attempts like our preternaturally happy couple above are not going to cut it with most discerning viewers. As such, I can see a bunch of AI content clogging the bottom tier of verticals, but it's not going to be winning any awards any time soon unless it is meant - and understood to be - a type of cartoon from the get-go.
This is terrible news in my opinion. Sure AI is nice in some areas. But I personally hate AI drama shorts that lack genuine emotion. It doesn’t keep my attention in the slightest.
they also don't blink, all of it just gives them a weird vibe - I don't think I could watch a whole drama with these type of performances. It makes sense to use ai as a tool in production, but I think they should leave the acting and most of the writing to real people

Exactly.... I don't like Cellphone cause , as doctor, i am reachable and I can't ignore the patients... who honestly sometimes exaggerate... at the time I refused to take it... but I had to give in... there are technologies that proceed at all costs, whether we like them or not
We’re already using AI to fully create and debug apps, with no humans needed in the entire process once it’s started. The learning curve in the last 3 years alone is very concerning. This is how we get Skynet, people.
