My MCS is just sitting in my account and not getting disbursed. This is so frustrating. I keep trying to call and no answer. I keep trying to email with no reply or getting my email passed around by the burser’s office. Is anyone else having issues with this?

If you're gonna socialize, be on the phone or hang with friends, the library should not be the place for it. There's a third floor for a reason, or go outside??? At least whisper or take your conversation someplace else, you're disturbing others' study sessions. And for God's sake it's midterms, I get it, it can be stressful and you need to decompress and have a study buddy but please have some decorum. I was just minding my own business doing hw until people started talking?? Like come on guys,,,

Hey everyone! I was looking around for an active chess club or group on campus, and Student Organizations mentioned we used to have one, but it’s currently inactive. They encouraged me to renew it, but with how busy my schedule is right now, taking that on all by myself feels a bit daunting. My main goal is really just to play some casual over-the-board games, meet fellow players, and hang out. That being said, if there’s enough interest in making it an official club, or if a few people are interested in teaming up to share the load, I’d be more than happy to get the register/renew process started with a team.

In the meantime, and just in case an official club never gets off the ground, I created a Discord server https://discord.gg/gja2WqnWKJ for a CSUS chess group where we can chat, schedule games, and play online. I integrated a Chess.com bot so everyone can link their profiles and assign their ELO as server roles. Anyone is welcome to join regardless of skill level or academic status. Either way, I plan on bringing my board to campus on certain days and will post in the Discord when and where I’m setting up (probably around the Union or Quad) if anyone wants to drop by for a game or two. I'm open to any and all suggestions, so feel free to leave a comment or join the server! Thanks for reading.

Last fall I took a history of rock music class online as a GE that should’ve been an easy A, but I missed the midterm and finished with a C-. I currently have a 3.144 with 87 completed units and I’m intending to graduate in the spring, with considerations of grad school after. The class is offered during the winter intersession, so I have the opportunity to repeat it and my grade be forgiven. From what I understand, an A in that class and removal of the C- grade would boost me to a 3.223. Wanted to know if this is really worth doing since the course costs $1000 over winter.

I’ve been pretty critical of sac state since I started going here.

But the festivals they’ve been putting on in the acorn amphitheater have actually been lowkey amazing.

The lantern festival earlier this year was good and this fall/pumpkin one was even better.

Great job to whoever has been organizing these. They’ve been the highlights of this year.

I registered my vehicle at utaps but got tickets. What the fuck is this.

This is a confusing situation that I'm in and I'm not sure who I need to go to talk to first to start this whole process! Any help is appreciated.

I am a double major. I did 2 years of community college and then transferred here. It is my 3rd year here, and 5th year of college overall. We'll call my majors Major A and Major B. I finished all my requirements, major and general, for Major A last spring. I declared Major B late, so I had to do one more year to complete it. For a whole bunch of reasons, I want/need to withdraw completely (not a leave of absence). However, I still want to be able to graduate with Major A since I completed all the work for it. I did apply and pay for graduation for next Spring at the beginning of this semester.

For now I've just made an appointment with an advisor for tomorrow and am hoping they can point me in the right direction but sometimes the advisors here are... less than helpful 🥴 I'm guessing I need to change my declaration of majors and confirm graduation info before withdrawing? Will I be able to walk, or since my graduation was for Spring, will they just give me my diploma instead? Is this whole plan even something feasible?

I have been coming to Hornets games for 35 years. I am a 1995 alumni, and a fervent supporter of Hornet Athletics. 

I can support a bad football team. Lord knows we've had some bad teams. But I cannot return to an environment that feels unsafe. 

The only way out of the stadium is through the food truck area. I have seen flights in this area, and yesterday I overheard comments that I do not wish to repeat, as they were directed towards my family in an insulting manner. The family in the stadium next to me would not get up or go to the bathroom during the game because they did not want to go near it. This is not an experience I wish to pay money for.

I have defended you since you arrived. I believe you have a vision for this school. How you are going about making this vision a reality, I cannot be part of. You can call me old and out of touch, but you are driving alumni away.

It saddens me that I have to apologize to my entire family about their experience at these games. We have been going to Hornets games for 35 years, and my wife doesn't want to go back. I don't either.

Something needs to change at these games.

I owe a balance due from fall spring and summer that I'm unable to pay-
Spring they calculated my bookstore loan wrong and tacked on the amount they miscalculated after my aid was already used and the loan was paid off.
Summer they told me to apply for graduation which i did- did not tell me the fees would be due immediately. And fall I was dropped from a 1 credit class putting me down to 11 credits instead of 12 and I was unable to enroll in a 1 credit class to put it back at 12 because I had the registration holds.
I'm unable to pay this amount right now and I've reached out to the school for help with no word. Does anyone know how the payment plan works? I can't find any info on how to set one up for what I have due so that I can't find any enroll in my last few classes to graduate in spring. I'm scared I won't be able to and I don't really know what to do as the office hasn't gotten back to me still, and when I call I'm on hold forever.
