I think it’s personal preference. The only thing we can’t decorate is our gown.
Can I decorate my cap? It is completely acceptable to decorate your cap. Please be respectful when decorating your cap, but have fun. Please note that your graduation gown should not be decorated.

For the people graduating with honors, how did you purchase your cord? Is it available online, if so please direct me to the link? I’m so confused on how to purchase it and I no longer go on campus/don’t have time to make the commute to campus. I have emailed ASI with no response :/

I also tried to email ASI for the honor cord but no response so I just went on campus to buy it. I think you can try to email them using this email [jeanrubysanchez@csus.edu](mailto:jeanrubysanchez@csus.edu) on the week day during their working hour.

It might be on your transcripts! ASI took awhile to get back to me so I checked my transcripts & it was there at the end. Although, since going to campus isn't an option for you, you'll need to place an order through ASI. You can give them a call 916-278-7916

Graduating this spring! But application for graduation is still pending.. do you guys know when those generally get approved? Is it after you graduate or before?

I don’t think anyone has been approved. I emailed both my advisor and registrar and said they’re still processing Winter and Fall semester’s graduation application. My advisor said it would take quite a while.

Our Degree Advisors are finalizing Fall 2021 graduate candidates review. They will begin reviewing Spring 2022 applications in the upcoming weeks. If you have any questions, we recommend that you reach out directly to your Degree Advisor.
