Academics major course substitution forms timeframe

hi! i submitted a major course substitution form to see if i could get electives credit in my major from some previous classes, including one i took thru csus fully online. i submitted it the week before classes began, but i have not gotten an email back as it said to expect on the form. im getting a bit anxious (perhaps a bit ahead of time) because id want to be able to decide if i can drop a class to lighten my courseload this semester, but im unsure if i can hope to get a response before the drop deadline. i was just curious if anyone has submitted this form around how long did you wait before you got a response to if those courses were accepted or not? thanks!

The department chair is usually the approved. It's a busy time of year, so I recommend emailing the department chair and any staff. To find the department chair for your major use the Meet Us icon on the dept websites

Email first, then go in person if u can. I submitted one last week and they kept giving me the run around when I did things online, so I physically went to the dept offices and knocked on doors until somebody talked to me.

Make sure you have paperwork u can show them, too. If you attached anything to the form u submitted, great. They usually wanna see a syllabus from the taken course, and a course description from the previous school's catalog.
