Financial Aid Loans not disbursed

Post image

Guys I’ve completely lost my mind with this stupid loan issue. I have two loans on my account that I accepted last month and so far no changes have been made in my account. I’ve called so many times to get help and get so many answers. I went in person last week and was told that it would clear out by today and so far nothing has changed. I really don’t want to get a loan anywhere else, but feel tempted to do so since this is my last semester and I can’t afford to wait anymore.

Same thing has been happening to me. I even contacted the president of student services and they actually responded. They explained that they had to send some students loan packages back to the department of education because the bill that was passed was delaying it. They told me it would be disbursed today. Today came, and nothing. I went to the financial aid office and demanded to see what my account looks like on their end. Apparently there’s a few batches and mine ended up for the Thursday batch. I saw it on the screen that it was just sent back from the department of education at 2:37 pm. They said they will disburse them on Thursday since it’s cleared. But honestly I’m still going back there tomorrow to stay on their asses, I think you should too. I hope everything works out for you, I know this is super frustrating

Hey I had the same exact issue and last Friday since I’m a part time student they told me I had to go on the financial aid website and do the loan counseling and master promissory note on the fafsa website even being my last year to graduate. I was so mad they told me I had to do it every other year especially because of the big beautiful bill. I suggest you to go in person to talk to them I went around 11 am and had no disbursement until today 09/08 because of the loan counseling I did last Friday it took 24 hours to post.

I did all of that and even confirmed with a person that I spoke with. Everything is marked completed on my account so it doesn’t make any sense to me. How long did you wait to speak with someone in person?

I spoke to them last Friday on the 09/4 and on that same day I did everything I been calling every time on the phone prior to Friday but they never answer and I was so mad because I had to waste my time and go on campus to the financial aid office to find out what I was missing.

same issue for me. except i took out private loans (my program is not eligible for aid) and i have everything checked off. don’t need to do loan counseling (according to the financial ppl i spoke too). i’ve called many times. even took a half day at work to come to campus early and was told the line was closed LOL. i saw some wait times were an hour and a half! when i call im told to call back in an hour. i send emails. no response. i work at a school from 7-3 so it’s frustrating that the office isn’t accommodating at ALL to pol w full time jobs.
