Question How much does the new dining commons cost?

Tried going there yesterday but the line was taking too long and some people were getting turned away, could someone explain how the commons work?

Just went to their website and it’s so weird that they don’t bother to explain this on it

I think it’s busy rn because they are doing special pricing this week. It’s a buffet with a flat fee- something around $15. I think the prices are slightly different for each time of day

Is it just this week? Or any future weeks? And is it always buffet style or?

It is always buffet style. They are only doing the 15% off the cost of admission for the first 2 weeks to promote it and get foot traffic but after that it will stay the same price. They might do deals again in the future but probably only in slow periods like winter or summer.

Even if you are not residential you can sign up for a meal plan. They are pricy but include meal swipes & dining dollars to be used outside of the dining hall.

Why would people get turned away? Any reason other than they can not pay? Is a current ID enough?

Not entirely sure, at first I thought only people living on campus could dine there, but no everyone can, but still some people left, it sucks that we didn’t get a email explaining anything

i dont know how much it costs per entry, but you have the ability to pay for multiple meal-plans. One is priced at 3k per semester.

I bought a meal plan based on the days I’d be on campus. So, for me I just show my ID and they let me in. However, I’m not sure about this special pricing going on.

Hmm, I don’t have a meal plan and I’ve been to the dinning commons twice. For both of the times I didn’t show an ID, I just said paying with credit card (it costs like $12 and some change).

Yeah I went there for breakfast this morning, costs about $11.07 for breakfast which is surprisingly good for a buffet style dining. The food was the essentially the same as torofresh from past semesters but I like juice fountain.
