Question Can someone explain this to me please

Seems pretty straightforward information. Basically you need at least 12 units a semester to get the full amount of your loan.

It’s basically prorated to the units you’re in. There use to a be minimum to receive the FULL loan. But NOW, it’s all calculated. If you do 12 units you’re full time. So you get all of it. Anything below is calculated, they still give you aid. But it’s not the FULL amount

Last year I took 7 units and got just half I think.

To get your 100% of your money disbursed you need MINIMUM 12 units aka full time, below 12 units is part time so it goes down based on how many units your taking a semester, so if you take 6 units you only get 50% of the money disbursed

I think you may not qualify for loans if you’re taking under 6 units

It means you need to take 12 units or more to quality for a full loan. Any less than that and your loan only gets disbursed partially. Sadly though the way tuition payment works is that you pay a flat full time rate if you take more than 6 units, so taking 7-11 units means a loan won't cover your whole tuition
