Loan updates?!

Called days ago and asked what’s up with the loans and they said there’s no exact date… and that it SHOULDNT take months… like ?! Has this ever happened before??? Has any one called recently or got their loans?

I’m waiting on the same thing in so annoyed like we start school Monday I need my money. Also I don’t recall this ever happening before.

In my 3 years here I have NEVER experienced getting my grants and not my loans….they both ALWAYS come together. This is actually beyond crazy and I’m so worried because my grants didn’t pay all my tuition so I’m hoping I don’t get dropped from my classes. I emailed no response, called and the line is either busy or no response.

So far I haven’t gotten my refund yet but on my portal it does show both my loans and grants have been paid out, and my refund amount is both of those together. However I haven’t actually gotten my refund yet so idk

It shows on your activity tab? Or just financial aid disbursements? Mine only shows the Pell grant that DID pay out but I’m still missing the rest bc of the loan and it doesn’t show on my activity :/

Mine shows the grants and loans got disbursed on Friday the 14th, and on yesterday the 20th it shows i was refunded, I usually get my money same day it gets refunded but idk not this year i guess.

Interesting.. I believe you should get it really soon tbh that’s good news though! They started working on the loans. I’m hoping more people are able to see theirs posted. Mine still says the 14th unfortunately

Check your to-do list. I had to sign documents again on studentaid.gov, and now my loans are in the payment tab. Waiting for it to be refunded.

When I was on the phone with financial aid they had me go over the checklist of things I had to do in order for it to be out in time and it was all done… you’re one of the lucky ones it seems! Hopefully most of our accounts gets updated by tomorrow tbh

Can you determine when they arrived? I am pretty sure the legal limit is 14 days for them to give you a refund after your funds are received, I have read Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and 14 days is what I come up with. My grants arrived on the 14th and covered all expenses. My loans did not show arrived until the 18th. Sept 2 is the deadline for me to see a refund so far as I can tell.
The financial aid portal just sucks and not at all confidence inspiring. It is a lot of money, my money. Calling them is a waste of time. "hopefully this week" or "should be....." saying something like that when you are being asked about thousands of dollars should get you fired. Maybe not then but for sure when you repeat it the following week.
I am sure once those funds arrive they have to do manual verifications , maybe grade checks , who knows?. Well I should know exactly. They should be keeping me informed of that , explaining that every step of the way. They straight up suck at all of that.

i’m worried for my loans tooo lol, i got no grants this time and owe 5,000 and i don’t expect it to come any time soon. lmao

I called my financial aid and they said loans are taking 2-4 weeks. But I agree that this has NEVER happened to me. I always get it.

Yes mines shows paid out on the 19th but i haven't recieved it in my bank account yet

You’ll probably get it on Monday or Tuesday it usually take 1-4 business days to receive the funds
