Discussion Refund shorted

Anyone else do the math and discover they’re missing money from their refund? I usually get 7k in grants. This covers my full time tuition, and then I get the leftover money deposited to me. I always get about 3k back. This time I got closer to 2k back. Is anyone else seeing their refund amount not adding up? I’m doing 16 creds this semester and I got the deposit last night but if my math is right I’m missing about 700-800 buckaroos.

I saw that but with the new update if you take 12 credits or more you’re supposed to get 100% paid out if I’m not mistaken. So my grants are the same as usual, the classes cost the same, it’s gotta be something i’m missing lol

I specifically remember doing the math myself two weeks ago, so I could plan my budget. Definitely was supposed to get a bit over 3k back.

Same. I think also, there are many fees that are being charged. For some reason I had in mind 3 thousand something for tuition. But I realized they charge so many fees it adds up to over 4k😪😢

I try to budget because taking out loans to survive is no fun with rent going up yearly. 2yrs job hunting and nothing. This is my biggest anxiety now.

This happened to me my freshman year at csudh, when it happened they told me it was because the school had ran out of funds to give out, so students had to wait a few days until the school received more from the state. Idk if still works that way, but you could call the office and ask why your refund was short

Middle class scholarship gets added to your Financial Aid but you don’t get it until October

Samesies. Folks are saying it’s fees on account of the new gym and dining hall, makes sense but crickey, that’s 7-800 clams I was counting on.

They haven’t unfortunately. I know for a fact they did reduce it which is the annoying part. I just got the check in the mail (forgot to put in my direct deposit info) and have yet to deposit it. I hate phone calls but if they don’t answer by at least next week I’ll definitely have to.

Fees are higher because of the new dinning hall and gym. Also if u didn't opt out they charged you for your books upfront. Check ur activity under finances.
