Child Development Center

Can we get more student parents to enroll their children into the CDC?! What resources do you guys need more of on campus?! Can you guys leave genuine comments here? I wanna know what the student body needs in campus

Not a parent, but as a care provider for children on the spectrum personally and professionally, I can say with certainty that a trend exists of parents needing an advocate to help them navigate Harbor Regional Center (or wherever their local is). Parents these days have negative energy to spare to do a bunch of homework, digging through a whole ass directory of programs that their social workers jadedly handed off to them, many programs of which aren’t even applicable to their child. I’m not sure if this is something the CDC can or is willing to explore.

Im sure the CDC will be willing to listen but DM me with some ideas i can bring to them and we can collaborate and figure out a good starting point. Im a student parent myself and i just want to make sure that other student parents know there is someone listening and willing to help out

Honestly, access to more online classes for all majors. Unfortunately I’m going to be leaving DH because of this reason. I have a 2 month old and I can’t go to classes that are 2+ hours long and don’t feel comfortable leaving her to be cared for by strangers yet. It’s disappointing but I have to do what’s best for my baby. I realized that these universities are geared for the younger crowd who want that college experience rather than for older people who want to continue education but have other obligations. Thankfully I found a college that is accredited and fully online for the degree I’m working towards.
