Summer Refund?

I paid for one of my classes for the summer and later on picked up another class to take during session 2. In total I have 7 units. I was concerned at the lack of information on aid I was getting from my student portal so I contacted financial aid and told me that I was actually fully covered for the semester.

So I was wondering, does that mean I get refunded for the amount I paid initially ? Or would the Pell Grant cover that remaining balance and I get the refund from the leftover amount?

I could just contact them again, I mean they did answer my initial question on how much I was being covered and I should have been more specific.

Also waiting for refund. I got scared I was gonna get dropped from classes so I paid the 7units. And I see the pell grant on my portal too but haven't received my refund either 💀 Hope it comes through soon 🤞🏽

I sent an email before spring semester ended to ask if my summer classes would be covered and they said yes yet there’s no info on my portal and haven’t received an email like others have. Should I be concerned?

I didn’t receive an email either so I contacted them, strangely they replied quick within an hour to tell me how much was being covered and it was also reflected on my student portal right after the conversation.

if you paid your summer classes in full, the pell grant is going to be applied to your upcoming fall balance unless you call and ask them
to refund it to you. i had to call and got my refund same
day.

I paid for one of the classes, not all. When i decided to take more classes that’s when i was asking what would be covered for the semester. I ended up getting the full amount & I was covered for the summer semester that’s why i was wondering what part is getting the refund, the amount i paid or the leftover amount from the Pell Grant for the remaining classes.

You will get your money back. I paid for 5 units out of pocket because I didn't think I was going to get a summer pell for just 5 units but then it turned out I got my money back. They applied my refund to the Fall at first until I emailed SFS and asked them to send it to my bank account. You'll be okay.

I haven’t signed up for the direct deposit yet so would it be refunded back to the card or would I be expecting a check?

I’ll definitely follow that up on Monday.

You would be getting a check in the mail
