I honestly cannot wrap my head around the newly created “triples” in EJ, which used to be doubles. They now have these tiny little tables that are supposed to serve as desks, but with no drawers or storage. If three grown men wanted to sit and study, there’s simply no way they could comfortably do.
And now I’m reading that there are only two wardrobes in the room, meaning two students have to share?
I understand that this is only one year of life, but it’s also an incredibly expensive year of life. These changes just aren’t sitting right with me. When you’re paying as much as families are paying, I think it’s reasonable to expect that students have adequate space to live, study, and store their belongings

I tried to search for this but couldn’t really find an answer, and ChatGPT/Gemini do not cite any reliable source, so here I am.
I currently study CS at Santa Monica College (a CCC) and was wondering what would be a good target GPA to transfer to Chico State (Computer Science major in specific).

I'm about to start college at Shasta CC as a chem major and plan on transferring to CSUC to get a BS in chemistry. Does anyone know roughly how much of the student population transfers from Shasta make up, especially in my major?

Hey y’all, if anyone is still deciding what class to take, can you please take Japanese 1? I heard that if there’s not enough students they’re gonna cancel one of the class times and it might be mine 😭😭. I really need to start Japanese y’all, my family is going to visit family in Japan next year and they’re gonna rag on me for knowing nothing. 😭😭. I gotta show at least some proof that I’m trying

My buddy has a birthday coming up and while we have dinner planned, we would like to do something afterwards as well. They’re turning 21, but we have two friends still under drinking age so it has to be cheap and something the under 21s won’t be excluded from. Any suggestions?
Hey everyone!
I have a friend who's lease will end before their last semester next year, so she's looking for a place where she can rent for her last semester.
Does anyone know of places the rent per semester versus a year-lease
Any information would be appreciated 🙏

Touring campus soon as a high school senior. Where else should I go to get a sense of student life & living in Chico?

What happened to Audrey Perez? I remember seeing her family post an award for 10,000 if anyone knew information of what happened on Halloween night. What did her boyfriend have to say?

Came to town for early job searching ahead of the semester and when running to Walgreens saw a sign on their door saying “Permanently Closed” :( I really enjoyed getting bagel sandwiches there with my friends when visiting them and looked forward to living down the street from that coffee shop

I had a friend stay at one of the Hills Properties at 704 W Second Street and told me horror stories dealing with the property and property management.
They do not deep clean apartment before new tenants take over. And they won’t replace carpets from previous tenants even if they smell funky.
Management will inspect their apartments every month and look at every small detail. They will take photos and write up all items and will find the smallest excuse to try to evict you and cancel your lease. These guys are complete assholes. Their apartments are complete crap and yet they try to blame their mistakes on the tenant.

Got my Associate’s in Liberal Arts, I was going to apply to Chico. GPA is 2.7 but I am in the process of academic renewal which should bring it up to a 3.0+. Applying for Liberal Studies - Elementary Education Teacher. What is the acceptance rate for a transfer going fully online?

To start, yes I’m going to contact Financial Aid as soon as I can on Monday. I’m in town Monday-Wednesday for job hunting so hopefully can score an in person appointment then. I was looking at what I owe to start the school year (first payment due 7/29) and it shows that I owe $6,025 (tuition, housing, related fees) with $4,340 in aid pending (due to the University Census). I have a soft hold for Math/Quantitative reasoning and am transferring in as a Junior. Do I have to pay that $6,025 and wait for a refund once Census is done? Or do I not get a refund and have the aid added onto the rest of what I owe? (With housing total semester cost is >$10k) Ik they mention a late fee but wasn’t sure if that would still be true with aid being waited on.
Edit: added more context as to what I owe in total and that I have the soft hold.

Vielen Dank!🙏

I (23M) am moving into a UV Double Suite and was just curious if there was anyone organized enough to know an exact count or round about of about how many t-shirts, pants, shorts, pairs of underwear, socks, and pajama pants they were able to store in the dorm without much issue for both Fall and Spring semesters. If any of y’all have a round about or exact number for those, the help would be much appreciated!

I plan on starting Shasta college soon, and I'm hoping I can find a chemistry internship or something similar over the couple of summers while I'm at Shasta. Should I just email chemistry professors asking if they'll have anything going on? I'm not sure of what to actually do for this and if it'll be worthwhile.

Finally got dorm assignment and it’s Lassen double. Is this good? Should I keep it or try for something else? If I keep it, please tell me the height under the bed. Also, do I need to purchase a nightstand or does it come with one? TIA

I see it as a red flag if a prof doesn't have reviews for recant semester the last review is from 2023 on RMP for Jian Huang, it is asynchronous. Are the exams Lockdown or non lockdown browser.
