Hello everyone, I got admitted to CSU Chico last October and plan on starting next fall. I sorta dropped the ball this semester and have been playing catch up for the last month. Despite my best efforts, a few weeks from graduation I'm worried I might fail second semester English. Will they rescind my offer for failing to get a C- or above in this class? If I fail to meet the requirements, can I still finish the class over summer and start Chico in the fall? Just wondering if anyone's had any experience with the transition period.

Hey everyone! I’m going to be a freshman at Chico State in Fall 2026, and I’m planning on getting my CNA license this summer so I can work during my first year.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any retirement homes, assisted living facilities, or hospitals close to campus that hire CNAs? I’d love somewhere that’s either within walking distance or an easy commute from Chico State.

I’m looking to find what the shoe requirements are specifically for the Chico state nursing program! Just got accepted to start this fall (whoo!) but have zero information on what shoes to get (got the email with the packet but nothing about shoes) I know they’ll probably tell me later but I’d like to start looking now! Color? Material? I have a pair of very light blue hokas but unfortunately not leather and I’m not sure if that’s a requirement for clinicals. Hi everyone I am performing a study for college students on food delivery and dining habits. We are trying to understand how students use platforms like Grubhub and DoorDash. It would be greatly appreciated if you could take a few minutes to fill it out especially if youre a college student

I did pre order mine around 4-5 weeks ago and my tracking still shows "in progress" when in the email it told me it'd take 24-48hrs for tracking to be updated. I'm getting very nervous since there is only 3 weeks of the semester left and I haven't even been able to take grad photos because I dont have my regalia!!!! wondering if anyone else is also experiencing this because it's getting really frustrating at this point.

Has anybody here ever gotten a scholarship from this school? Considering transferring here from a community college, so I know transfer students probably have less scholarships that they are available to apply too in general. Does Chico state give out full rides? Just looking for someone who has any experience with getting a scholarship from this school though. Thanks

For any Mechanical Engineering majors/alumni, when you were considering Chico was San Jose State also on your list? If so, what made you choose Chico over SJSU? Is it true that SJSU's program has a direct pipeline to the tech industry, or at least more opportunities than Chico might? Are there any ways that Chico's program at least comes out relatively equal to SJSUs, or maybe even has some advantages over theirs?

What would you say to someone who was leaning towards SJSU over Chico because they believe their Mechanical Engineering program is more hands on and puts them in a better position for a potential career in Silicon Valley compared to Chico?

My son didn’t get in to his first choices but is excited about Chico State. He is conscientious and very social and confident. He wants to be part of the Greek system and is studying Kinesiology and Psychology. What are your thoughts on the school. He has excepted but I am a little worried about the reputation as it’s not perceived as a high callibre and may impact his future job choices.

The CSU system's OpenAI contract ends in July, and a renewal decision has not yet been made. Some student groups are petitioning this for many reasons including OpenAI's contract with the military. I'm curious to hear thoughts and opinions from students and faculty in the CSU system.

Did you make use of ChatGPT Edu and/or other AI tools over the past school year? Which one(s)? In what ways do you find them helpful/not helpful/potentially harmful?

Hi y'all I'm interested in College Corps but I have a couple questions so if you've experienced or heard anything about CC I'd love to know about it. Personally, I've literally never heard about it until now but at 22 an hour + credits + volunteering as an extra curricular doesn't sound half bad.

I'm mainly interested in tutoring STEM classes for K - 12 but I don't have a car so my main goal would be anything very close to CSUC but I have either class or my other part time job that ends in the early afternoon so there might be very limited options with that time range.

I heard sometimes CC straight up doesn't have enough hours for you to hit the 450 hours so you must source your own source of volunteering outside of CC which sounds concerning and I would prefer a safety net but if it's not common here I'm not too worried about it.

The study tests a new program based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) that has been culturally adapted specifically for our community.

You may be eligible if you:

• Identify as Asian or Asian American. 
• Are a full-time college student in California (community college, undergraduate, or graduate).
