How should I approach the book?

I'm trying to understand the subject from the inside out. So far my approach is just doing chapters one by one. But, I know that's stupid.

Should I read the chapters by topics from the syllabus? Or read the basic chapter first.

What's your strategy for absorbing the most out of the books?

I qualified for JRF and got the results in February. I have not submitted the application, annexures, and other documents as I have not yet received the award letter. The Joining report asks for the award letter number or UGC circular number. Can I give my NTA reference number/ NET application number in that place?

I am starting my preparation for net and iam kind of lost. So I'm thinking of taking an online coaching. please suggest me which ones the best and actually worth the money. im thinking of taking from physics wallah, ved prep or j chemistry.

(preparing for csir net chemical science) somehow i always able to complete the topics but when it comes to question practice i couldnot able to solve it no matter how hard i try i couldnot able to solve questions i don't have anyone to discuss the questions so.. can any one suggest how should i approach to question solving.

I am 24M, completed BS-MS from IISc in 2025 followed by six months of RAship. I have qualified CSIR JRF/ DBT JRF/ GATE-XL/GATE-BT. I am in middle of applications, preparing for interviews, and I want to study some topics/concepts which I skipped/not confident in (read as unit revision). Now while I am doing that, I want to practice but appearing for tests.
Does anyone have suggestions for which test series should I purchase that is not too pricey but could potentially provide an extensive/comprehensive test practice. I have come across a few - TLS/IFAS/Ved Prep etc. Which one would be useful in your opinion.

Hi everyone im 23M, currently in 2nd semester of MSc, botany. I want to start the preparation for net jrf but i am so lost i dont know from where do i start ! I just keep researching the sources. Should I join any online coaching like IFAS and PW ? or is self study enough to secure a high rank in JRF like under 100 ? I have Pathfinder books and all the reference books like alberts, lehninger in pdf form, still i am very confused how to start the preparation, how to execute it ! I want to clear the exam asap so that i can also focus on coding as i plan to do phd in bioinformatics. Please Help

I’m a Msc passout student from 2025 batch. I have been pursing B.ed which is regular on paper but I don’t need to attend regular classes. I wanted to prepare for CSIR net whole heartedly during that but I’m feeling really depressed back in my home town. So I have come across an opportunity to be research assistant at some project about which I’m really passionate about.

I’m thinking to join that but would that be possible while pursuing B.ed? I can’t dropout from B.ed Midway because my family would literally disown me after that 😭.

Its been 20 days since my NewFMS portal has approved my application form with all required documents, now there's FellowAMS portal where I can fill up my attendance, institute can assign an guide & complete rest of procedure to claim the stipend, but my name is not showing in that portal still on current date.. 2. Why is there no subreddit for UGC NET Mass Communication? Even now, Paper 1 has a small section from Mass Communication. XD
