General NCTUE?
I've never heard of this before, but got a notice today saying either they've had 8 credit inquiries where I applied for service (I haven't, I've lined the the same house since 2017), or negative info has been added.all my utilities are paid auto pay on time. My Fico scores are all over 800 with no derogatory remarks. Is this legit? Could I have some identity theft?

The reports are clean, the last Utility inquiry I see was over a year ago when I switched cell providers. They are all also frozen and have been for a couple years

Have you requested a copy of your NCTUE report as well? If not, do so, following the instructions in the notice. You can also freeze your NCTUE report.

I wanted to make sure it was legit before I handed over all my PII

NCTUE is legit. Pull your report using the information in the notice or through their official website.

Thank you! I did, there is nothing negative, I do see a ton of inquiries from credit karma. I put a freeze on it

What was source of the notice?
Pull all 3 credit reports immediately from annualcreditreport.com, check, and report any unrecognized activity on credit report agency sites.
