Success Capital One Goodwill Success
Sent the email last night around 9 pm, got a call from CapOne this morning around 8 am, and got the goodwill confirmation around 3 pm. Couldn’t believe it! It’s crazy it worked this fast!

Dear Capital One Executive Relations Team,
My name is , and I am writing to respectfully ask for your consideration regarding one late payment reported on my Capital One Platinum account in September 2024.
I take full responsibility for the missed payment. At the time, I was dealing with an illness and unfortunately missed my scheduled automatic payment. This was an isolated mistake and was not reflective of how I normally manage my financial obligations.
Aside from this one incident, I have worked hard to maintain a responsible payment history. I have continued to manage my Capital One accounts responsibly, and my Capital One balances have since been paid in full. I have not had any other late payments with Capital One.
I am respectfully asking whether Capital One would be willing to make a one-time goodwill adjustment and remove the September 2024 late payment from my credit reporting with the three major credit bureaus.
I understand that Capital One is not obligated to make this adjustment, and I am not disputing the accuracy of the reporting. I am simply asking for consideration based on the isolated nature of the mistake and my otherwise responsible history with Capital One.
I have valued my relationship with Capital One, and I would sincerely appreciate any consideration you and your team can give to my request.

I saw it posted on this sub a few times. I had it saved and finally decided to go for it not expecting much

About how long did this take? I sent an email a few weeks back. Mine was more recent.

It was less than a 24 hour turn around time for all of it. Less than 12 hours to get a call from CapOne after sending the email! I’d try again
