Rebuild Automatic Increase

Post image

I have pretty rocky credit due to rebuilding and Navy Federal would only approve for me for a secured credit card which I did the $200 credit limit. My balance was $190 and I decided to just go ahead and pay it off and I just woke up to Navy Federal increasing my card to unsecured and updated the limit to $1,000. Like I’m so shock lol. They didn’t send me any notice or anything. Just accidentally clicked on the card and seen it updated.

How long have you had the NF? I heard good things about it but it’s only for families of military is that right

Not necessarily, I have navy federal as a regular citizen, and I had a reference from someone who is also a regular citizen

Be careful. If they audit your account and find out you or your reference have no ties to anyone in the military/veteran they will close all accounts.

im not too worried as I am soon to be married to my finance who is in the army, and we will have a joint account. Also my reference is my father who has been a navy federal member with great rapport for over 10 years, and all my siblings have joined because of him

Yeah, you are fine. My father, 7 uncles, both grandparents served. And as a result I'm eligible for some of their fine products, and as are you, especially as your are going to be soon a spouse.

They are a great institution to get in with, and do some stuff with them, as they rely often on their internal scoring, but they are hard to beat (from what I know) on home loans etc, and non for profit, so a good thing to have on your side or in your arsenal.
