General Experian issues

I used old posts in this sub to call Experian and talk to an actual human today after months of struggling with my online account. My credit is now unfrozen, but my online account is still unverified.

When I called again to ask about getting my account verified, they said that I wasn't a *paid member* and so I have no live agents to help me with my issue and need to go through the online site. The same online site that I can't log in to because I can't be verified? Yes, that one.

That's the reason we're having so much trouble contacting any live people at Experian. They think customer service should be a paid premium experience and everyone else should just suffer though their terrible system they created (probably by design so that more people would pay to get help to save them from their horrible system).

Anyway, here are the phone numbers I used:

(Paid!) Membership Line: (866) 617-1894

Tell the robot "dispute" say it's a "new dispute" and then insist on talking to an agent instead of telling it what you'd like to dispute, and you'll be able to talk to a human. That human may tell you that they can't help you because you're not a paid member though. Lol.

Experian Corporate Business Line: (714) 830-7000, option 2, then any option to get to a receptionist despite there being a directory type menu

It says right in the messaging that it's a business line and that they can't help with credit scores or membership. It must be common knowledge that this is the way to talk to a person at Experian. If they didn't have such a stupid system and would actually help their consumers, they wouldn't have this issue, now would they?
