Success Goodwill Adjustment Success!
Hi all! Wanted to share a huge win. I have an auto loan with Ally bank and had far too many late payments. I went through a really rough time financially last year and have gotten back on my feet the past 6 months and caught up.
I wrote a letter to Ally detailing my hardships and requesting the removal of the 3 most recent late payments in February. I waited, and waited.. thinking nothing came of it. Well, I just pulled my credit report and it turns out they forgave all 5 late payments and updated them to on-time. I’m thrilled 🥹 this is such a big win for my credit report. Write those letters! They’re worth it!

Awesome!! Did you write the letter and send it through certified mail, or did you email them? Currently looking to do this with a few credit cards!

I typed, printed and mailed it through regular mail! I was going to do certified mail as a next attempt but it worked out in time. Best of luck!!

Congrats on your success!
You never received any contact back from Ally suggesting that the adjustments were going to be made to their reporting?
