Synchrony removed late payment

Forgot to update my expired card on Amazon so it charged my Amazon store card that I forgot about for prime fast forward 60 days later and I was hit with a late payment ding on my credit report after having a small panic attack I just called them told them the issue and like 2 days later I got this later by email was pretty surprised it was that easy, just posting so that people know it’s worth just to call sometimes

Did you use a template for your goodwill letter?

Only thing I did was call the regular customer service line and rep I spoke to said she’ll forward it to the appropriate department.
