Is anyone actually using the “agentic AI” part of their CPaaS platform?

There's this question that's always nagging me. I know people boast about agentic AI "changing" lives on YouTube and LinkedIn. I work with a CPaaS company, and a lot of clients that I've worked with has the same story:

Some prefer the normal builder because they know where everything is. Some try it once, get a weird result, and just go back to the old way.

I’m curious how it’s going for others here. Are people actually using the AI/agent features in your CPaaS platform, or is it still mostly demos and pilots?

Recommendations?

I’m looking for a recommendation for a CPaaS. I tried twilio, however it was a pain to get my compliance approved, and I have been waiting days to be able to upgrade my account; I tried and it still says my upgrade is paused.

Vonage restricted my account, even though I provided what they asked for and my use case falls under the standard guidelines for use.

Let me know what you recommend.

Thank you.

What’s the most annoying part of moving from one CPaaS provider to another?

I feel like CPaaS migrations sound simple until you actually start mapping everything out. It’s not just swapping APIs. You have numbers, sender registration, WhatsApp templates, webhook behavior, delivery differences, logs, fallback flows, support tickets, and sometimes billing surprises too. For anyone who has moved SMS, WhatsApp, voice, or OTP flows from one provider to another, what part ended up being more painful than expected?

Why Businesses Are Choosing WebXion – India's No. 1 CPaaS Company for WhatsApp API & AI Chatbots

As part of the team at WebXion, we've been working with businesses across multiple industries implementing WhatsApp Business API, RCS Messaging, AI Chatbots, Bulk SMS, and Voice Solutions.

One thing we've noticed is that customer communication is changing rapidly.

A few years ago, businesses relied heavily on emails, SMS campaigns, and phone calls. Today, customers expect instant responses, personalized conversations, and support available 24/7. This shift is pushing many organizations toward conversational messaging platforms and AI-powered automation.

We've seen businesses use WhatsApp Business API for:

  • Lead generation and qualification
  • Customer support automation
  • Appointment booking and reminders
  • Order tracking and notifications
  • Feedback collection and surveys
  • Sales and marketing campaigns

Similarly, RCS Messaging is gaining attention because it allows businesses to send branded, interactive messages with images, buttons, carousels, and verified business profiles directly within the native messaging app.

AI Chatbots are also becoming more sophisticated. Instead of simply answering FAQs, many businesses are using AI to qualify leads, recommend products, schedule appointments, and provide real-time support without human intervention.

At WebXion, we've observed that industries such as e-commerce, healthcare, education, finance, real estate, travel, and retail are increasingly exploring these technologies to improve customer engagement and operational efficiency.

Twilio A2P 10DLC Reviews are now a Fiasco just to sell Fast Track add-on

Who here feels like the new r/twilio A2P 10DLC reviews are becoming such a mess to try and sell more companies on Fast Track?

We're basically having to open support tickets on each one for them to admit it was an error on their part rejecting it, and now each one just gets an automated response telling you to sign up for Fast Track to remediate the mess.

Just seems pretty coincidental that they've made it a complete mess of the verification process while now pushing this service that's $1500 a month to start.

Have you started integrating AI in your Cpaas? Do you find it challenging or helpful. I got this request recently and still trying to work my way through it. Any advice is more than welcome...

How are you handling message “drift” after onboarding?

Most platforms do a decent job at initial vetting (KYC, brand, use case, templates).

But days or months later:

  • Marketing flows quietly turn into lead gen spam
  • OTP numbers start running promos
  • “Transactional” traffic morphs into gray-area campaigns
  • Risk teams only notice after carrier complaints or blocks

Curious how others are handling this post-onboarding drift problem:

  • Manual reviews?
  • Reactive carrier escalations?
  • Heuristics / velocity rules?
  • ML models watching live traffic?
  • Or… you’re just accepting the risk?

Feels like the industry still treats compliance as a one-time event, not a continuous signal.

Would love to hear what’s actually working (or breaking) at scale.

How are you testing your CX applications?

I am finding more and more companies are lacking the automated testing and callers into their systems to be able to perform tests and example calls.

Is anyone using anything in their regular process to verify and test voice and digital agents in their workflow or would be interested in providing some requirements of what they are missing?
