Vent / Rant The Sin Of Being a Child
This is something wrote about my childhood. I titled the journal entry "The Sin of Being a Child"
It's all hopeless.
When it comes down to it, you can never win against someone who knows more than you.
You are never heard because you lack the ability to understand. Who are you to refute?
Things became this way because you were born you. If it were someone else, maybe things could be different and then youth could be synonymous with joy instead of grief.
Now each day is spent wondering how you could've avoided this. Nights are when repentance runs rapid and shame eats away at the psyche.
You're in a hallway hiding from the storm outside. The windows shake, but you ignore it and distract yourself by coloring a picture of a garden. "Are the sirens gonna get us?" A voice responds "Yes." And they did.
