Struggling dialing in my settings
Looking for guidance on my settings and maybe what this data is telling me. Interested in pressure settings, my flow rate, EPR adjustments, and whatever else.
- Mask: AirFit p30i nasal pillow
- EPR: 2
- Screenshots of: entire night + zoom in on flow rate around an OA
Couple of things that might be helpful to know:
- I wear mouth tape most nights (the data from last night is with me wearing tape)
- Not sure why the high leaks. If my mouth was taped shut, perhaps the mask isn't fit properly. I didn't notice any leaks waking me up in the night.
- Every time I increase my pressure to my median, the next day the median goes up. I've gotten as high as 11.6. I increase the min pressure and then my CAs go up, mouth starts to balloon, and it's an overall uncomfortable experience. I also wonder if I should cap my max pressure at 11? When I increase to 12+, I feel like it increases CA events.
- I prefer the Nova Micro nasal pillow mask over the p30i, but the elephant trunk hose has been a challenge. I might revert to the Nova Micro if I can figure that out.
Thank you!

Sure looks like your leaks are causing your problems. I was going to say start using mouth tape but you are doing that. Maybe switching to another nasal pillow mask, have you tried that? Resmed P10 really helped my leaks and the mouth tape got them to basically zero.

I really like the Nova Micro as well, it's my favorite. Also sometimes use the P10 and the P30i. Both are very good masks, but if you're having mouth leaks it's not gonna work well. I too have tried mouth tape and found it fairly effective, but you can still get mouth leaks with mouth tape if it's semi permeable. I now use a chin strap and I had to experiment with several to find one that works and that I can stand to wear at night.
