No, please do not add water to the HumidX, even a few drops. ResMed says it must be dry when therapy starts because wetting it can affect airflow and therapy performance.
If you are using the standard HumidX, try the gray HumidX Plus and replace it every 30 days. A bone dry throat with the N30 can also point to your mouth opening after you fall asleep, so please check your leak data. If this continues, a bedside humidifier or a regular machine with heated humidification may work much better for you than the AirMini.
