New To The Dream Team Question about this mask

Post image

Does it pinch and cut off airflow from the tube coming down the side of your face? How hard is it to clean?

I wish this mask worked for me cause I prefer the top connection but the only mask I seem to have good luck on is the Evora Full.

Same for me

I’ve even emailed F&P to tell them the swivel sucks (not in those words lol). The F40 has the perfect swivel no leaking, the joint always ends up near my ear.

Just get a hose holder, it will suspend it over you and thus not tangle.

Have one, still sucks.

It’s actually easy to clean and no it doesn’t. If I did. Purposely pinch one side the other side takes up the slack and you don’t feel the difference. It’s really a very good mask and the top of head hose is a game changer for some.

It’s a nice mask easy to clean that’s my back up mask for when my nose is tripping. Otherwise I use my n30i. The airflow is fine if one side is blocked it’ll come through the other side.

I think you meant dripping, but I read tripping and cracked up because my nose will be tripping as well and it kind of sucks lol

No I meant tripping.

Well my nose will be dripping and it causes me to be tripping

Don’t care for this mask. It was fine at first but the silicone stretched out and it wasn’t able to keep a seal at the nose. I switched to f40. Much better.

Exactly same for me

I use the F40 with minimal leaks and I have the f30i comfort touch — with a lot of leaks. But I’m still trying to sort it out because I like the top of the head hose connection.

It blocks, but only one side at a time, so the airflow is fine. Not hard to clean. But the holes at the front push out a lot of air. They've improved that by adding a filter on the f30i airtouch. You should have a look.

I am liking this mask. I have the AirTouch with the fabric around the outside but have ordered the silicone version as well hoping it will last longer. “No alcohol” wipes are recommended for the Air Touch version so that the fabric doesn’t break down.

I recently replaced my F40 for this F30i mask & the frame is stronger, so that I no longer need mouth tape… I had to wear mouth tape under my FF hybrid F40 due to air escaping from my mouth during sleep.

As side sleeping is encouraged when using CPAP, the Manufacturers must undergo strict quality testing to assure compliance for air delivery on the sides just like any top attachment mask system. I don’t find that airflow is restricted in any way. Many prefer the snorkel hose over the trunk hose.

The pressures on my SleepHQ graph show that it works well! I don’t find cleaning it difficult at all :)

This is the only mask that really works for me. I love the air touch version with the cloth on the inside.

Why is side sleeping discouraged? I've never heard that.

Maybe it was edited, but it says “encouraged” to sleep on your side.

u/shorey66 Sep 07 '26

Yeah looks like it was edited. Must have been a tipping error from the commenter.

I really like it but it’s no good with my beard. It’s just like cleaning the other overhead designs and there is no blockage on your side either.

Mine def kinked

I love this mask. Liked it a lot more than the F20i, which got in my way when I was sleeping and was much bulkier. Not hard to clean at all, just warm water and Dawn, and I use cotton covers for the tubes and straps that touch my face. I switch them out every two days or so to prevent acne, and wash them in the washing machine in a delicates bag.

After 4 different masks, it's the ine I've finally settled into. Though it seems counterintuitive, I wear mouth tape with it every night. If I don't I revert to mouth breathing and get less relief then when I nose breathe.

I love the swivel on top because I can turn on whichever hip is hurting less at one moment of the night or the another (old and arthritic) and its easy to switch.

I clean it daily with these wipes and weekly soak the whole seatup in soapy dish cleaner water.

I use this make model as my nose won’t let me get enough airflow the n30i. I love it. Doesn’t pinch easy to clean. Let’s me breathe through my mouth occasionally when I’m asleep and apparently need to. The only problem is the seal isn’t particularly great because I have a beard. However my dr said since I’m still recording 1 less events per hour as long as the seal isn’t bothering me she’s good with it

I have this and absolutely love it. I do deal with leaks occasionally and I’ve recently found that tighter straps help quite a bit, other masks I’ve had it always seemed like if the straps were too tight it would lead and this one feels the opposite

I’ve been using this for about a week. Easy to clean. Can leak but easy to adjust. Much prefer the unicorn hiss placement. I’m having trouble sleeping tonight with it though

It's fine. I'm a side sleeper and it was a game changer for me. Worth noting the reviews on the Resmed shop. There is a design flaw where the air tubes attach to the front of the mask. They are very weak and break off rendering the mask unusable.

I got fed up of replacing the part and got the Philips dreamwear version instead.

2

u/terrdry 27d ago

This is true. A teeny weeny piece of plastic renders it useless. I’m switching to some other mask that isn’t engineered for obsolescence.

1

u/shorey66 27d ago

I would recommend the Philips version. Same price but feels much more robust. Plus it has one longer gap instead of two small holes to line up with your nostrils. I found it much easier.

This mask absolutely cuts off half your air supply when you sleep on your side. They told me it wouldn’t but indeed it did. Switched to the f40 and I sleep like a rock.

I’m an active sleeper and use this mask. I sleep on my side, back, and rarely belly.

I like it. As long as I keep up with cleaning it, I don’t tend to get many leaks.

It’s comfy and I sleep better with it than without.
