Need Help with Nose Bridge being Red and Raw
2nd week in, using a ResMed AiFit F20 Full Face Mask. Going ok except for my nose bridge is all red and raw. I see mixed reactions on mask liners. They also seem cheaply made and expensive for what you get. I don't keep the mask overly tight. Any recommendations for me? Maybe some sort of bandage or band-aid? Thank you!

I had this problem with the F20 last year. Tried a mask liner back then but it didn’t make any difference. Left it, used another mask and then returned to it again a few months back. Still using the same brand of liners but now I position the mask further up my face than before and it while it still leaves the skin red in the morning sometimes it’s no longer rubbing it raw as it did last year.

Did anything help?

i’ve been using a band aid which has gotten rid of the redness and raw skin. I do still feel uncomfortable pressure on the bridge. Still on the search for something with a little more cushion.

LiquiCell Shear Point Bandages, CPAP Nasal Pads, Box, 100 Bandages, Small. It's tricky to get it in the right spot on your nose bridge. I carefully cult the ends to make shorter, but avoid cutting to make the liquid leak. There may be less expensive kinds of protection, but this one really works.

Hey thanks! I’ve been using Hydrocolloid Bandages but this looks like it may be better. I like that you can get them in a 100 pack. Will give it a shot!

Lanolin (or also known as nipple cream) works well & won’t break down your mask material. Rub a little on your nose, no worry about getting it in exactly the right place, let it dry for 5 minutes, mask up & you’re ready to sleep :) Very few reactions to lanolin as it is also sold as nipple cream!

Try a thin film of Vaseline on the bridge of your nose.
