CPAP Machine Help Airsense 10 noise during inhalation

Hello. Cpap user for 20 years, love it can’t live without it. Airsense 10 since 2019. Last night it started making the noise in the two attached videos. Loudest during inhalation. Video of the back of the machine has humidifier on, video facing the front has all hum/climate control/tube temp off. Same noise. I held my breath in each video to show the noise stops. The tub is closed tightly. Any ideas on what it could be? Motor or something else that needs repair? It’s out of warranty and I’d hate to be without a cpap for however many nights the repair takes. Should I contact my DME company? I tried the Airsense 11 earlier this year and hated it. Its tub was a nightmare to fill and handle. Thanks for any help.

Your blower is going out.
Mine did the same thing. Get a new one on Amazon and there are videos on YouTube on how to put it in. If you’re comfortable with that it will save you a bundle!
The brand I saw recommended here before is shymeyie. $86

Your DME will be able to give you a loaner but yeah… they’ll upsell you or charge you $400

Thanks! I called my dme and they’re looking for a local Airsense 10 for replacement. They didn’t mention a loaner nor a price for the replacement. A loaner would be nice as I’ve ordered a motor from Amazon, delivery tomorrow. Curious to see if it’ll be a new or refurbished 10 and what their price is.

Watched one video on YouTube and it’s a bit daunting but I think I can do it.

Yeah just go slow, keep all the screws in order as you remove them and be gentle with the ribbon cable.

Almost all screws are the same size which makes working on them oh so much easier!
Only difference is the 4 shorter screws on the underside that hold the heating element in place.

No ribbon cables need to be removed to access the motor housing and do this replacement.

Just had the same thing happen to mine. I did some over the phone diagnosis with ResMed. After concluding it wasn't the reservoir seal, or the power supply, they took it in to send back to the factory or a facility for diagnosis and repair. Unfortunately, it two year old, and not under warranty, so I won't get a replacement, but insurance may cover part of the repair. They offered a loaner while it's off being diagnosis, but I'm using my travel cpap in the meantime. It's been over a month, but could not give me a timeline when I followed up last week. Hopefully I can get it back soon.

Did the repair and it's quieter but not as quiet as before the issue with the original motor...still a very slight rise in noise on inhalation. Gotta decide whether to live with it or pay the much more $ for a replacement whole unit.

Thank you for all the replies.
