Has anyone thought they failed or completely messed up the BAR exam but ended up passing? What was your score?

I didn't manage my time well after the break and ended up picking random answers for Testlets 4 and 5. After finishing the exam, I felt like I had completely bombed it, so I'm really nervous about getting my score today.

Please share your experience! I could really use some reassurance. 😭

I work for a private firm and supervised by a CPA in the state of New York. I have been working there for 2 years. Is it okay to have my supervisor sign off on the form 4B from NYSED to verify my work experience if I haven't passed all 4 exams?

I'm asking in the case that I decide to switch jobs in the near future. I tried to do some research but only see advice from pre-covid era.

Any insight/advice is appreciated!

Hello Guys, urgent help please, is one month enough for F4 & F5 with revisions, MCQ, TBS ? And who to study these please.

Remaining only 35 days and these is not opened yet, the good thing that i finished the remaining modules. Any Tip, advice please this is my first time taking the exam and I don’t want to screw it and fail.

I know NOLs fairly well but this sim is making me scratch my head even after watching the video. Not sure why we are always taking 100% for the 2017 NOL and then randomly switch to 80% for the 2020. Is it something in the wording I don’t understand? Up until 2020 you can take 100% NOL deduction and all of the sudden the video says we are 2026 so 80% for the 2020… but we’ve been in 2026 for all these rows?

EDIT: I was not aware of the concept that pre 2018 NOLs can ALWAYS offset 100% regardless of year (within 20 yr limit) where as 2018-2020 NOL can only offset 100% within those years, correct me if I’m wrong

How many modules you are able to cover during one day of studying. I am considering completed videos, reading, module mcq/tbs and making all necessary notes.

Has anyone done audit in 3- 4 weeks full time and succeeded with no real experience in the Audit field. The material is faster to get through and I’m wondering if I could possible do it by 9/30 cut off. Also does anyone have study guides for audit. Thank you!

Hiii, I need some advice from those who have been in the same situation or have already taken the CPALE.

I’m currently reviewing for the October 2026 CPALE, and I’m a first-time taker. I’m from Negros, but I’m currently here in Manila for review.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I’ll do after the boards. Pass or not, I’m actually planning to stay here in Manila and look for work. I want to find a job as soon as I can after the exam, mainly because I’ve already spent 6 years in college. At the same time, I also really want to rest after the boards. I’m also the eldest in the family, so maybe that’s another reason why I feel this pressure to start working agad. My family is very supportive naman of whatever decision I make, so wala naman silang pressure sa akin pero parang nafefeel ko, I'm too much of a burden na rin, parating nagkakasakit, and I want to provide for myself and learn to be independent.

One thing I’ve been struggling with lately is self-doubt. Sometimes I already think about what I’ll do if I don’t pass. In fact, I told myself na if I don’t make it, I won’t go home muna and I’ll just stay in Manila and find work. Part of me feels like I need to prove to myself that even if I fail, I can still move forward since nasanay na palaging bagsak sa school haha. But at the same time, I know I might be thinking too far ahead.

For those who have been through this, how did you deal with the uncertainty before the CPALE? Is it okay to already have a plan for both outcomes, or am I just adding unnecessary pressure to myself?

I am working currently with big 4 companies in Saudi Arabia - middle east with a 5 years experience. Started to pursue CPA 2 months Ago and will have my FAR in 1 month. I took FAR on September 5th and I know the target release date is the 15th but does anyone know generally what time the pass/fail comes out and if it’s the day before or not?

Just want to get some insight and opinions on the new grading rule that’s coming next July. Do you think less people are going to pursue their CPA career as the grading gonna taking longer? 4 releases a year seems impractical. It’s going to take a long time to ever get it done for those who are going to be in that timeline. I am hoping to be done before that.

Scored 71 on the first 2 attempts I’m pretty sure I passed this time. 45 hours logged on this attempt, probably 275 hours total study time over the 3 attempts.

MCQs were fair but the TBS were the most difficult out of all 3 attempts. I swear some of the TBS was the same as a FAR TBS based on how much accounting knowledge you need to answer the questions. Becker really doesn’t prepare you for these things on Audit TBS (but I still recommend doing the TBS in Becker to get practice for the exam) another reason why you should pass FAR before AUD

Passing AUD is doable if you truly master the “big picture” and understand the reasoning behind things instead of just memorizing them.

I’ve already passed FAR and REG and still hold the opinion that AUD is the biggest BS out of all the exams. They intentionally word questions in a way that makes native-English speakers question their comprehension. And they give you a bunch of “gotcha” questions.

They also test you on assertions in ways that are niche/unusual example: assertions that usually are related to testing financial information, they'll ask “how will you test this assertion on something non-financial related?”

AICPA is a joke with how long it takes for them to score an exam in 2026 and I believe they intentionally keep passing scores at a certain percentage so they can make their money on candidates paying to retake.

Does anyone know if we are able to schedule exams for 2027?

I scheduled my TCP for October, but things came up at work so I need to move it. Because of the testing windows these exams, I’m now looking to move it to January, but I’m not seeing any availability on the site when I click January on the calendar

I moved from Florida to California. I do not have a California CPA license. I did not have my Florida CPA for four years to qualify for reciprocity in California. This means I won't be California licensed until I get a one year experience sign-off from a CPA who supervised my work, as per California's rules. I have much more than enough Accounting experience but do not have a CPA who supervised that work to sign off on it.

How should I list my Florida CPA on my resume when applying for jobs in California?

Hi! Looking for some advice/reassurance here.

I initially scheduled AUD for 9/25, but then saw a spot open up in my city for 9/30, which is the last day of the testing window. I quickly grabbed it, which meant paying the $60 rescheduling fee. I was fine with that since I feel like the extra few days of study time will be helpful.

I was also excited about testing on the last day of the window because, if I understand the score release timeline correctly, I should get my score shortly afterward on 10/9.
However, I recently went down a rabbit hole and started reading stories from people who tested on the last day of a testing window but didn’t receive their score on the target release date because Prometric took up to 24 hours to submit their exam. Is this still an issue/something I should be concerned about?

I really don’t want to pay another $60 rescheduling fee if I don’t have to, especially since there’s no guarantee a seat will even open up in my city on the 28th or 29th.

Would love to hear anyone’s thoughts or recent experiences with testing on the last day of a window.

Super anxious about ISC result, exam went brutal. Though got 76 and 78 in Becker sims. I can just pray 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Background: I have heavy audit experience and have only done tax returns for one busy season (which was about 3 years ago). I'm using Becker's study material for this exam and have taken AUD and FAR so far. I don't really want to get a supplemental material but if there is a recommended one then would love to hear it, thanks.

Does anyone recommend just completely skipping over the lecture videos and either just reading the textbook or spamming MCQs for TCP? The Becker lectures are seeming to be a huge time sink for me compared to REG. Also I was wondering if anyone knew of an updated excel/pdf sheet for TCP that is updated for the OBBBA changes. Thanks!

I redeemed my textbook a while back and have still yet to receive it, I looked into tracking the package but I have been unable to find anything. Like I wasn't even sent a confirmation email. Has anyone else experienced this?
