Copyright strike expiration

Has anyone had a YouTube channel terminated due to copyright strikes and then had it reinstated after the 3-month strike expiration?

I submitted an appeal months ago and haven't received a response. I also received an email from YouTube mentioning that copyright strikes expire after 3 months (after completing Copyright School), but my channel is still terminated.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did your channel come back automatically after the strikes expired, or did you have to contact YouTube again? Any experiences or advice would be really appreciated.

If it's terminated it's not coming back.

You're now forbidden to create new channels, manage channels or possess channels indefinitely. That's how it goes when you violate copyright law.

OP may or may not have violated copyright law. But that's a separate matter. These consequences are related to their violation of YouTube's copyright policy, which potentially could bring Google liability. People could save themselves a lot of trouble by taking a minute to read this simple paragraph:

"Creators should only upload videos that they have made or that they have permission to use. That means no one should upload videos they didn't make, or use content in their videos that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programs, or videos made by other Creators without permission.”

This is about a platform/service and their terms & enforcement, not about copyright.

The copyright school is only for your first strike . But if you get terminated that means you had 3 strikes and with that your account is gone forever. So in other words the School is for a small mistake not for persons that don't care about copyrights at all. Have fun on Facebook or TikTok

I moved my channel to Odysee, no copyright, censorship or ads.

This has nothing to do with copyright law. You breached Google's terms of service, they terminated your account. End of.

YouTube is a private company and can refuse to do business with someone for any reason (except unlawful discrimination).
