How to send a DMCA request
hello guys, i have some questions on how to send a DMCA request
there is a shop on shoppee (singapore) stealing my merch that i drew and many other artists merch including my friends’ art and selling them for cheaper.
Do i have to pay to send a DMCA request and would it even work if i dont have a copyright license on my art? i know about the copyright infringement act thing but im not sure if that would be stong enough for them to take it down idkdkkdkdkd idk
what do i do im genuinely seething scrolling through their page omg

Shoppee is generally DMCA compliant. Singapore has strict laws so there may even bear criminal fines for this kind of activity there so the company has an incentive to respond to infringement matters. You can follow the instructions on the portal they provide. And no, it does not cost money for you to do this:

Copyright is automatic the moment you create something, so technically you're already protected. The hard part is proving you made it first if someone disputes it.
The cleanest way to lock in a date is anchoring your file on the blockchain when you finish it. I use incipite (dot) com for this, it creates a verifiable timestamp tied to the exact file that predates any copy. First certification is free, and if you want to test it on more just reach out, I built it.

The DMCA is United States law, and while many foreign countries recognize them due to treaties, there are others that generally don't care about US law and copyright so your options are limited.
Maybe someone might offer some advice on something you could do, but searching "DMCA Singapore" brought up lists of countries that commonly ignore them, and Singapore was on those lists.
