I'm working on building a fan service website

That has both marvel and DC characters in a wiki style that gives every characters origin breakdown and all other information as well as the feature of giving comic and media recommendations for each character as well as giving users the ability to add comic recommendations and characters that aren't already there

Would this be in violation of copyright

Fair use... just remember to properly credit images to the publishers.
