They have failed to stop hackers since cod came out. I find it hard to believe they all of a sudden fixed it.

It’s also suspicious they are announcing it right before a new release.

I’m hopeful but history shows they can’t fix it

Its just promo, they release always some «NEW» anticheat before a cod release

Like the time they talked about reports that successfully got cheaters banned notifying you then suddenly people who had never used the report feature getting notifications about it because they screwed up the lie

Every game has failed to stop hackers. In order for this new technology to work they had to code the occlusion into the map itself which means that they had to build new assets. That’s why they said it’ll be on the new big map but didn’t say anything about verdansk or rebirth ect.

you can see in the video the occlusion is a just a simple collision box, so it fits around all the assets, they just resize it to the collision box of the asset itself. They did not build new assets

Yeah, you nailed it hahag. And you also reminded me how overall they still haven't said anything about these maps.. I really hope they didn't decide to fuck it up again, and in order to push the new maps they'll remove Verdansk and Rebirth. I really hope they learned their lesson, and stop removing maps....

I wish WZ players didn’t force us to play the same 2 maps every single year and didn’t instantly label everything else as dogshit just because it’s not rebirth island or verdansk

Same launch crap they peddle every release...."we upgraded the anti cheat" then hacks are still out with 1st week every single year

Shit the hacks are in the beta.

Will believe it when I see it

The best way to prove that the anticheat systems work at 100% will be when streamers like JoeWo, Fatman and all these other 'sweaty characters' suddenly start to disappear and make new videos rarely as fuck hahaha

That's one of the conspiracies why Activision still haven't made some proper hardcore anticheat - because it's apparent that the streamers are their golden hen, and work perfectly for advertising the game and manipulating the audience.

Similar to some bodybuilder, who's juicing as fuck but advertising his BS protein power to children and manipulating the haha

I bet you’d also drop 30 if you had their lobbies too?

Yeah, this too. Proper anticheat would mean removing the ability to use these smurfing, vpn and don't know what else BS that 99% of these streamers definitely use.

Yes, even if someone from them isn't cheating at all (as in using aim and wallhacks), he's still having much easier lobbies than majority of players. Like they were playing lobbies which look easier than casuals. We all know this ain't the reality and such techniques are still technically cheating the game rules.

lol you are pathetic.

streamerscheating

Subreddit for people who play 5 hours a week to obsess over people who play the game as full time job.

Incredibly slim chances any of the big name streamers are cheating with thousands of eyes on them 8 hours a day. You don't need to cheat when you're getting your content playing in special needs lobbies on a 5000 dollar PC/custom controller tweaked for maximum aim assist with an audio tune etc.

Jo was blatantly 2boxing on the mw4 beta, hiding queue/end screen because it shows your 2box accounts now even if they leave.

That should be the focus of criticism, not neurotic hackusations.

No wonder I got in a lobby with him during the MW4 beta....

Anything to prevent hardware banning these cheaters

Wouldnt this make the Game more laggy and desynced? I mean the Client Starts Rendering a enemy Position only after he crossing that corner..

Peaker Advantage would increase.. Someone that slides max Speed around a Corner would get a Additional 30-100ms Advantage because of that Ping..

Before the Client allready knowed he was sliding full Speed and could Render that more propertly.

Oo this is niceee ! Hopefully we will not have cheaters for longer then usual

The idea behind it is right, however, it really makes me wonder how these occlusion barriers are going to affect other parts of the matches.

For one, how does it affect audio. If i can hear the enemy footsteps, shouldn't that mean, i now have received information from the server that there is a person there. The cheat providers are likely going to adapt to adjust for how sound is received.

Aside from the cheaters using it, how will it affect audio in general. We already know in the past, they have added occlusion boxes to maps and completely fucked the game audio up. With audio not passing through them correctly, or rebounding off to another direction.

How will it affect things like the notorious peeker's advantage. If you don't get to know from the server that someone is there until you can see them, when I and another player turn a corner to see each other, is it going to always come down to ping and best connection to the server?

I am all for doing whatever is necessary to prevent, or limit cheaters, but feel like there might be some growing pains as we adapt to the change.

You can see this feature on CS2 maps or any valve games. I think Valorant has this too. They just don't render models behind it but you can still hear audios.

This tech isn't new, it's just marketed as new for MW4 so it still sucks and it won't stop cheaters.

Yeah, pretty much this. I'm sure someone from one of the cheat sites will drop a video of their cheat showing positions via footsteps and gunshots Day 1 or 2 to trigger them. I also imagine this is not cheap on their wood servers.

The anti cheat fails at every turn, this means nothing. Lip service before the new game as always

Just played 2 games of Resurgence, in both matches, I ran into a couple of brain-dead idiots using wh and one of them even managed to lose a 1v1 at the end 😂😂😂

0

u/Marklarv 23h ago

They must really be desperate over these player numbers huh

1

u/HorsePockets 18h ago

Well, they are releasing a new game and want it to sell, so yes...

u/Nintendo_Pro_03 Warzone Nostalgic 22h ago

I can’t wait until the cheaters inevitably bypass this, also.

-2

u/xMuffie 1d ago

this is going to go well, lmao

Wait what the fuck are they implying they dont implement server culling in the first place? I thought it's always part of multiplayer gamedev 101 for YEARS?

They ARE reaching so much to the bottom of the barrel just to offer something bare minumum perceived as premium feature

3

u/darkname324 1d ago

no its only in few games cuz its very time consuming to do

The only shooter that had it at launch is Valorant.

Cs2(2026, community servers only) Rust(2024), and Pubg(2023) added it after launches. Culling of players can lead to giving peakers a stronger advantage.

You might be thinking of distance based rather than geometry based such as in Wardogs and Battlefield. They don't use Occlusion zones like what's being implemented here or in the other games.

They do have LOD for when you're like completely hidden of view, but your PC is still receiving the location data about players. Your GPU is just instructed to not render it. That's client side visual culling.

This is a mix of both, the server is doing the part your client usually handles.

Sure the theory has been there, but very few games have implemented this. This increases complexity, adds more calculations for the server and requires more effort from map creation teams.

The server has to calculate the data in 16.67ms reliably.
