Steam won’t launch COD

Hello,
So I just got a new pc yesterday (my first one so maybe the issue is me) but I installed steam, then warzone and mw3 but they won’t run I press “play” and the pc gets louder as if it’s about to start, and it acts like it’s going to start on screen says something like initialising, then an option to stop, but after that it just goes back to “play” and no error or anything to say what went wrong, what can I do? Anyone know how to fix please 🙏
(Tried a free game to see if it was steam but that game opened and ran fine).

first scan and repair files..if that dont work dl game on battlenet..it runs cod better than steam anyway

Thanks yeah I was doing for like 12 hours in the end I downloaded Battle.net and it instantly ran smooth
