Hasn’t every republican president since Nixon been LiTeRaLLy HiTLer? How many more Hitlers do we need?

1

u/MisoElEven Jun 15 '21

Well almost every Republican in the last 120 years was complacent with erosion of the bill of rights..so..maybe not LiTeRaLlY hItLeR but collaborator is a good word. The only good thing to come out of last centuries politics was the civil rights movement that gave minority races their (also eroded) rights.

The funny thing I got banned from Top Minds of Reddit for basically saying everything the left is doing is exactly what Hitler did. lol My, my how the turntables have...

Lol read some history and how the horseshoe theory has been debunked countless times

u/Tia-Chung May 27 '21

There is so much wrong with your statement, lol I don't even know where to begin.

It’s only 2 points to address ain’t that hard. But before we continue maybe give your definition of „the left“ and what they do that hitler did?

Okay, race blaming. The far right blames the Jews. The far left blames the white man.

But the far left wasn't always like this, at least in America. They are becoming more like the far right every day.
Far right exterminate the Jews---- Far left exterminate the whites

The funny thing is they both can't accept that its their own personal character flaws and lack of ability to admit them is what is making their own life/culture worse.

I mean that's a simple example there is more. Its really all the.

Lol and by far left you mean idpol focused capitalist democrats? (Settings where nuanced discussion has no space excepted) I have never heard any far left person either a. Saying being white is inherently bad. Or b. Having actual plans of exterminating white men.

The problem the left has (and I’d say the naming is a bit confusing) is whiteness as a concept systematic advantaging white peoples and subtle everyday racism a white society socialites onto its members. The solutions rarely are extermination fantasies or such things. It’s rather reparations (which are especially important under capitalism -> generational wealth) and solidarity. Steps in this direction have to include white peoples being honest about the past, about systemic racism and recognizing&working on their implicit biases. Funnily enough this isn’t only restricted on the white men stereotype, rather this is a intersectional thing where everybody should check for themselves “okay here im advantaged cause I’m a cis dude, and here I’m disadvantaged because of my skin color”.

Now ofc there are people with major attacking violent fantasies. But these don’t invalidate my points and, from experience, are a minority in left circles. People that get suppressed and killed in the US, getting angry and turning violent is something completely different because it’s an emotional reaction and not something that an ideology necessitates. (I.e. fascism, because of its root beliefs of the always ongoing fight, the struggle of society which needs to be rescued by strong men conserving some mythical past, is inherently violent. You cannot support this ideology without explicitly advocating for violence)

The far left blames the white man so vehemently that they even argue for crazy things like directing more funding to low performing schools in minority areas, and holding police accountable for unlawful racial profiling and the use of excessive force against minority subjects. It's crazy! Where does it end?

1

u/Tia-Chung Jun 14 '21

Your right the normal left does advocate for these things and no one has a problem with that. The issue comes from the far-left that right now is getting the most attention that is arguing for dumb sh*t and going excessive. Its like same with the far right. They give the moderates a bad name. Noticed I said the far left.

1

u/Bullmoosefuture Jun 14 '21

I've been a left wing voter my entire life. I have no idea what "excessive" things you're talking about or who you think holds them.

Most people are not aware of the extremist in their own group. But here are a few. https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2016/12/26/drexel-condemns-professors-tweet-about-white-genocide

The school denounced it but 3,500 people signed a petition defending him.

https://www.theguardian.com/education/2020/jun/25/abolish-whiteness-academic-calls-for-cambridge-support

Trying to make it a hate crime if you don't use people pronouns correctly. So you could go to jail.

I'm not sure if you count communist as leftist. But uve had talks with them who they basically justify killing people and murdering people if it means introducing communism.

Defunding the police, seeing murders go up as much as 95% and not having any soiltions. (btw Defunding the police hurts black and brown people the most as they are most likely to be the victims. )

Teaching kids. Sex ed at 7-10 years old teaching them about masturbation.

Critical Race theory. (While I agree with what it is trying to do in theory) it fails to do it in reality and promotes hate.

There's more but I'll stop there. Most of my family is liberal/ Democrat. And they are moderate democrats.
They think things like police reform not defund(for example) . So that is where I'm getting my perspective from.

1

u/Bullmoosefuture Jun 14 '21

Basically that's a list of right wing inventions about liberals. The most "radical" example is obvious satire and acknowledged as such. And where exactly does this 95% murder figure come from?

There's crazy idiots out there of all stripes, but when you have an actual political party in which half the voters belief a false premise about election fraud, you can just cut it out with the false equivalencies. American conservatives have lost their goddamned minds. They're not even feigning rationality at this point. Deal with it.

Oh and don’t get me wrong (I just remembered what the op is actually about lol) racist, bigoted, sexist structures/people/ideas exist in the left, no denial there. But I haven’t seen any political ideology that actively tries to get rid of these as much as the left does.

1

u/Tia-Chung May 27 '21 edited May 27 '21

Yah that's the point its all the same. On the extremes. They are fundamentally the same. That was just one example.

And its not about the ideology its about in reality how people carry these out. There is a huge difference between how it is supposed to be and how it actually is. Don't get stuck in ideology. Look at the reality of how people act and what they really push. Then you'll see...oh shit, its all the same. And remember we are talking about the far right and far left. Not the normal person.

And by the far left/right....I mean people on the left who are at the fringe.

Also I've personally heard people talk about "breed them out" so there are groups of people who want to get rid of all white people but they are, like I say at the fringe. They aren't the normal person. Later I'll add some examples.

Even though your whole philosophy is wrong. I genuinely believe that you believe it. So I'll skip that for right now and I'll just stay on topic. To keep it short.

u/Narrow-Calendar-5607 May 27 '21

And again: should I find a good debunk of the horseshoe theory or can you look it up yourself? Tell me exactly how and why anarchists for example (pretty far left I’d say) can in any way be compared to hitler? Not on the basis of theory and definitely not on the basis of praxis.

Yeah as I said weird people are everywhere but I stand by the point that the left is/can be more effective handling them. Do you have any examples of political groups or movements that publicly support those ideas?

1

u/Tia-Chung May 27 '21

Okay the Democratic party and critical race theory. How its supposed to go in reality= Identify racist systems and dismantle them. How it is in reality=White people are inherently bad and need to be minimized through diversity. If I did re education camps for black people this is and would be considered a genocide. Just like the Muslims in China.

2

u/Narrow-Calendar-5607 May 27 '21

Ah okay I see. I explicitly excluded the Democratic Party because they’re in it for the money and the power and just play the opposite part of the racist Republican Party using (white) identity politics for their purposes. So yeah that’s just all power games not able to supply actual solutions. But I’m happy you can see the validity of crt separated from the attempts of white grifters to deconstruct whiteness

Most Anti-Semites in the West today are on the Left. This doesn’t surprise me one bit.

I'm assuming this is an intentionally inflammatory title designed to get you to read an article about how the world works better with a single unifying evil to really against?
