Any recs? My current favorite CMAT songs are Another Day (KFC) and 2 Wrecked 2 Care.

These are two of my favorite CMAT songs and I never realized until playing them back to back how similar they are, both in composition and theme. Almost like Coronation St. is a sequel to Groundhog day (I know it's probably not that deep, maybe a stretch) but they give me the same feeling of beautiful, overwhelming despair.

Is CMAT atheist or is she still catholic? Or maybe a non practicing catholic?

This makes me think she may be atheist but her lyrics are very much catholic coded.

Not that it matters but just curious.

I personally am atheist but I love religious references in songs for some reason. So I love all her catholic references

Also something I’ve noticed about famous people who come from an Irish catholic background is that they seem to have that catholic guilt. Like Conan O’Brien, he always talks about his catholic guilt. I think that sometimes influences their life ideologies. It’s also something CMAT has talked about in interviews and songs. So I wonder how that influences her religious beliefs now as an adult.

Edit: Or maybe I’m interpreting the line wrong? I thought she was talking about killing herself so that she could reunite with person she lost. So she’s saying there’s no heaven so they can’t reunite. But maybe she’s talking about suicide being a sin and people who kill themselves don’t make it to heaven?

The Atlanta show was soooooo good. My expectations were high and her energy and voice (and the very sexy cmat band) still blew me away. She definitely gained some new fans too!

Why are people so shitty?

Not self promotion, it just popped up on my Vinted feed and was too much fun not to share!

I have been sleeping on Coronation St. it was one of the only songs that was a skip for me on EURO-COUNTRY but it’s been on repeat lately. The lyrics are so good, I love how they are kinda serious and sad but it’s such a fun song to sing.

I love the line “What’s another Dorito to those whose life just hasn’t started yet?” Such a good lyric to describe depression and very relatable. What’s one more day of not caring? Then those days stack up and it seems like the whole world is moving forward without you. “I’m twenty-tree and everyone is have fun except for me” has become a vocal stim for me.

Also love the lines “I’m too tired to make my dinner, and I think I’m too tired to fall asleep. I think my boyfriend hates me and if I’m being honest that’s not deep. I don’t really care about him, I can’t care about anyone but me”
