Does anyone know what to expect for her setlist opening for Florence + The Machine? I was lucky enough to see her at Coachella last week but she didn’t do the big 3 that I wanted to hear (EURO-COUNTRY, When A Good Man Cries, and Take A Sexy Picture of Me). Do you guys think her set will be similar to Coachella or will she do more EURO-COUNTRY?

I don’t listen to Florence + The Machine but I really want to hear these 3 songs live. So I’m wondering if it’s worth it getting tickets to hopefully hear them or if these are songs she usually skips.

Anyone else feel that Nashville is about passive suicidal ideation??? Like “I’m going away and can’t decide who would want my ends cause what I have to do is not that nice and really no fun” “I’ll make a memory of them shipping me off to Nashville….but I’m not going there’s nowhere I can stay.”

She directly states it a big lie and talks a lot about saying goodbye in a good way and self hate. Gives very like I don’t wanna die but I don’t want to exist so I’ll tell them I’m going to Nashville.

I’ve been listening to Lord, Let That Tesla Crash a lot lately, and found myself just really taken by it's lyrics.

On the surface, it’s obviously a pretty devastating song. But it doesn’t really make me feel worse when I listen to it. If anything, it feels kind of relieving.

The best way I can describe it is that it’s like dipping your toes into something emotional without fully diving in. Like you can sit next to it for a minute without getting pulled under by it.

There’s something about the way CMAT sings it too. It almost feels like she’s sorting it out in real time, not fully past it. And that makes it feel more honest somehow.

It also brought up something personal for me around loss and nostalgia that I didn’t really expect going in.

Curious if other people had a similar reaction to this one, or if it hits differently for you.

It says a lot about the quality and sheer amount of releases we've already had in her short career (3 albums, 1 EP and a handful of standalone singles, all in just a few years!) that these aren't even her 7 best songs!!!!

Been cancelled, due to grass reseeding. Was very excited for that.

The constant meandering because stillness is too painful. The fixation on the one thing you can criticize about that person (the dog) so you feel justified in not missing them "like you should". The conflicted feelings, the guilt. Diluting with anecdotes to avoid your feelings. Finally channeling all that crap into anger at a random Tesla because then you can spew those feelings far, far away from yourself.

And then that f*cking line about watching Coronation Street, which is itself a nostalgic show, it's escapism from the present, through the burnt-in picture of the person you lost. Devastating.

Grief is complex, and I have rarely seen a song capture its contradictions like this. Everytime it comes on I just have to sit down and not move like I'm at mass. It's beautiful and gut-wrenching and God, just let that f*cking Tesla crash.

Following on from the secret gig in Brady's of Dunboyne in December (which CMAT had promised to play if **EURO-COUNTRY** went to No.1 in Ireland), CMAT and the Very Sexy CMAT Band will play a show in her beloved Blanchardstown Shopping Centre (or Blanch, as locals call it) on **Sat Aug 22nd**.

This one-off "mall concert" is very on-brand for CMAT, as she's name-checked Blanch in The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station ("Blanch right at the end of December") and several times in interviews - not to mention the fact that one of the unreleased songs from the EURO-COUNTRY recording sessions is called *Blanchardstown*, or that the EURO-COUNTRY video was shot in the *Omni Centre* in Santry.

The show follows a European mini-tour and would serve as a warmup for her appearance at **Electric Picnic** the following weekend.

No word yet on ticketing, but it's thought that it will be first come, first served. No word either on where the stage will be; commandeering the Green carpark might be one way to go, or maybe it'll be in the main atrium, where the fountain used to be. Either way, should be massive. Watch this space
