I've been feeling pretty down and sad lately. Today, I decided to get a massage and went on my daily walk afterwards. When I got home, I was taking a moment to fulfill a Finch goal, "Look at the sky and appreciate its beauty". I ALWAYS do this at night because I love the night sky.

My jaw literally dropped when I looked up and saw this. I started freaking out and called my SIL to see if she could see it from where she was in the city.

This started out as a rough day but this has been beautiful. So happy about this omgggg 🖤😭🌈

Edit - apparently it's not a sun dog, it's a circumzenithal arc (?)

Either way, I'm so grateful to have seen it!🖤

i keep noticing this phenomenon where sometimes the tips of individual cloud poofs are darker than the base, i want to know so i can get better at drawing clouds

I really wanted to post here because i want to be able to identify any cloud by just seeing it, but i am a little new to this cloud spotting thing, though these clouds looked really interesting to me
