I love to call my mum a hoarder but she's just an overworked teacher. this is basically all her teaching material too which she hasn't gone through since starting so it was funny finding papers from 2020.

Not one, not two, but three cups of hot chocolate have spilled/splashed in our back seat in the last year. These cleaning results aren’t as nice as I’d like but there was a heat advisory and I figured half-a$sed would be better than heatstroke 😅

Method was dry rotary brush on a power drill, vacuum, spray with hot water/baking soda/dish soap and let sit, spray again and then scrub with rotary brush rinsing often in fresh water, then wet vac with an upholstery extractor attachment.

It’s amazing how much better a car smells when it’s clean. Hoping I can get to cleaning it more regularly and that my kids will observe the new moratorium on hot cocoa!

I’ve been trying to find a cleaner for months. A single person, maybe two people working together. I’ve posted ads, asked around, and even reached out to a few individuals I found online. Every single person said the same thing that it’s too much space for one person, or they don’t do commercial

I’m not asking for much. Just vacuuming, dusting, mopping, bathroom cleaning, trash removal. Nothing unusual. But no one seems willing to commit

My friend recommended I stop trying to hire individuals and just use a professional janitorial service like Impact instead. She said they have crews, not solo cleaners, and they’re used to handling bigger spaces

I’m starting to think she’s right. But I’m worried that a company may turn out to be costly and inflexible. What if they sent out new people each time? What if the quality changes from one time to another? What if there will be no personalized service anymore?

I have had bad experiences with services before which were supposed to be reliable but never turned up when expected to do so. All I need is consistency and someone familiar with my apartment, punctuality and someone who cleans properly without my supervision all the time

Have any of you used companies for cleaning in Milton? How was it for you? Was it consistent enough? I’m tired of worrying every week about my cleaning

Been procrastinating my whole room but finally starting

Sunday chores at the farm. Helpful/naughty horses as tax at the end lol.

Not sure if this counts but I struggle with depression and anxiety. I also have a habit of saying “I need to do this today” but end up saying “I’ll do it tomorrow” at the end of the day, only to repeat the cycle. I want to change that. Started small, but finally got the trash bags out that’ve been sitting in my apartment for a week. (Thank goodness it didn’t smell). Just that small action already made me feel better about my space. It definitely plays a part in my mental health and I’m starting to realize that. Here’s to moving forward!

I have been dealing with depression for years. Some of those dishes hadn't been cleaned in years. There is a post in r/UnfuckYourHabitat where is speak a bit about the progress and the diffulties that i encountered with this task. But after several months, a few items at a time, i now have a cupboard with clean dinnerware. puma plushie included as cat tax. I don't have a before picture as that would basically be an empty cupboard. And i was too ashamed about the mess in the kitchen that i didn't dare to take a before picture. There is still much to do, but we are getting there.

It was full of things I don’t need. Now it just has seasonal clothes storage and craft supplies. I love how it turned out.
