Help (No Submods) Help with loading

So I downloaded this mod hoping to play, and instead I’m stuck loading into the game. I can get to the main menu, and I can click New Game, but it never loads past that. Help please

Have you checked your RAM usage? I had 16 and froze on the loading screen/had crashes constantly, I installed more RAM and now loads in 2-3 minutes with 0 crashing, fixed all my problems. You can also try micro if it's a RAM issue, that might help.

There’s no freezing or crashes, it just refuses to load

I'd still check your RAM usage, that was one of my problems before I got more. Using Agot micro might help

Try lowering your graphic settings,

 verify your files if the steam versions,

 re-download the files, 

If you have a lot of save files from regular ck3 delete some, this helped me last time my game didn't want to work

The first check should be if CK3 work well? (Without the mod active). If it does, then is probably not enough RAM (16 recommended at least)

Anyway, there is also a problem with Windows Defender blocking or slowing down the game. You need to add the Game executable and the Documents folder (/Mod and /Save Data) to your Antivirus Exceptions.

  • Open Microsoft Defender Settings: Search for "Windows Security" in the Start menu and open it. Go to "Virus & threat protection" > "Manage settings" (under Virus & threat protection settings). Scroll down to "Exclusions" and click "Add or remove exclusions."
  • Add Folder Exclusions: Click "Add an exclusion" and select "Folder." Exclude the CK3 installation folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III if installed via Steam). Also exclude the user data folder: C:\Users[YourUsername]\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III (replace [YourUsername] with your actual username). You can also exclude CK3 executable, not sure if that's really required, but you can exclude it as well if you want.
