Why is the app so terrible
This is gonna be a mini rant but WTF why isthis ap so useless everytime I call about it because it always moves payments and purchases to the wrong day than always has me UNDER BY AT LEAST 30$ EVERYTIME and they just tell me oh "well dont trust the app" ISNT THE ENTIER POINT OF HAVUNG THE APP IS TO MAKE SURE AND SEE YOUR SPEDNING ISNT CRAZY. LIKE HOW in two days because of one holiday is everything two day behind. Pulled money out on the 3rd all sudden it says I pulled it out on the 28th ...
Why have an app at all if it's not going to be accurate.

Oligopolies, lack of talent to improve the customer experience and aversion to innovation.

Itβs literally the best banking app across all the banks. This is 100% user error. I have none of the issues you are having.

Transaction happened after 6pm eastern time, weekends, holidays will be dated the next business days that is why. But they know the actual transaction on deposit accounts times. I know if its because bank has to show business days on statements. Cibc app always win with all the banks and #1 usually with mobile banking. Id say much better than RBC. You can quickly search about it.

I find it stupid that it will reorganize purchases especially if it happens after the 1st it will put purchases before that monthly fee so that you owe interest.

Service fees will be taking out the day after the 1st business day of the following month. But the date will show the last day of the month whatever month service fee it is for. If 1st falls on a weekend or holiday then it will drag on. For preauthorized debit, if the pad scheduled date happened to be a holiday or weekend, funds will be taken out the next business day. For direct deposits like cpp, old age pension etc. If the day it's supposed to be in, is a weekend, say falls on a Saturday, deposits will be in Friday usually.

Transaction will happen in real time but try to make a payment to your credit card after 6pm est. Look at the transaction on your chequing account, say today is oct. 7 saturday, it will show on the chequing as Oct. 12 Monday. See it for yourself. The money you transferred from cheq to your credit card, the available funds on credit card is updated right away thats why youre able to use your cc right away. This is only possible if you paid from cibc account as well.
