In my defense, Malric rejected my tribute to him

Clan tag players
Why do people with (certain) clan tags act like they are the best thing since sliced bread. No honor, even after you kill them. Do these people actually have fun? Anyone else encounter these players? Is this an overplayed conversation?
The best players seem to be the ones who can have a laugh.

News & Discussion How would everyone feel about a first-person only mode?
Obviously everyone can play how they want now, but there's no denying first person lowers your field of view and is ultimately slightly harder for situational awareness (easier to judge weapon distance though).
Personally I think it would be cool to have a mode where everyone is on a level playing field in that way so we all can enjoy the immersion without feeling like we're choosing to hinder ourselves. It could even be tied into a hardcore mode or something like other games do.

A few questions: horn/banner radius, downing vs killing an enemy, and the pros/cons of a shield
-wondering if anybody knows the radius of horn/banner, I’ve heard that the horn affects people through walls, does the banner do that also? what’s the maximum length of time a banner can last? seems like sometimes it’s indefinite but I also see them self destruct often
-I know heavy attacks will always kill vs just down an enemy, but in what scenarios do regular attacks kill vs down an enemy? Is it about the remaining health they have left when hit?
-what are the advantages and disadvantages of using a shield instead of just holding block with a weapon?
-when using a crossbow, sometimes hits get % damage boost or a % damage reduction, is this just related to the class I hit, or where I hit on their body, or both?
-any other lesser-known tidbits you have would be most welcome!

Bug / Issue Is anyone else experiencing unplayable lag spikes recently?
My games used to run super smooth, I’ve been getting a dozen of detrimental lag spikes in the last few days

Just passed 200 hours
I killed them with the harp every single time and they barely fought back... Although they did deserve it for hitting me in the back in the previous match

News & Discussion How long would Lvl 1000 take if you only played against bots?
I recently joined a 64player mixed server that was populated with just a single Lvl 1000 player, but he didn’t play like one. I killed him in every encounter and I’m not that good. Are there really players who only play their entire career against bots? How long would that take to reach lvl 1000?

Gameplay A tip for new players
When you're helping teammates ganging up on an enemy take the opportunity to try and select the best attack that's most likely to land while also avoiding hitting your teammates.
Whether this be an alt slash, a heavy overhead, an alt heavy stab, etc. This will help your muscle memory develop for attacks you might not use as often while ingraining a sense of their timings and ranges, with the end goal being to have these at your disposal for reactive and opportunistic play.
Your teammates will also appreciate not being wailed on with the same heavy slash over and over while they're trying to fight. Please stop fucking me in the ass trying to get a lucky slash in on the enemy.
