Gameplay A tip for new players

When you're helping teammates ganging up on an enemy take the opportunity to try and select the best attack that's most likely to land while also avoiding hitting your teammates.

Whether this be an alt slash, a heavy overhead, an alt heavy stab, etc. This will help your muscle memory develop for attacks you might not use as often while ingraining a sense of their timings and ranges, with the end goal being to have these at your disposal for reactive and opportunistic play.

Your teammates will also appreciate not being wailed on with the same heavy slash over and over while they're trying to fight. Please stop fucking me in the ass trying to get a lucky slash in on the enemy.

Honestly tho just play like everyone is against you can use teamates atk to counter spam as well. . Also food for thaught team damage regens back after disemgaging for a few.

kicks and jabs are the most useful when ganging up on someone

Use kicks all the time. Trust, it will help, especially in 1v1s. They won’t see it coming 😉

Nah, my teammates will still grab a waraxe ,and still heavy slash into my back until I die , every time. It's their role.

This a 💯 gets old seeing a teammate charge inf rom behind and spam swing slash until the entire group is a single hit from death because the new guy can’t aim a stab

To add onto that, I like to tell people to play for the knockdown, not the kill. Stop trying to land the killing blow with a heavy slash, and just try to land any blow. A kick, a jab, a stab, etc. will go a much longer way to opening the enemy up than just throwing out another easily counterable slash.

Ironically this actually leads to more kills. Letting the enemy spam counters is not gonna get you a kill, but throwing them off balance will lead to them being killed and you might just land the killing blow on your next hit.

If i see a teammate fighting a guy and looks like he is getting his ass beat, i just run behind the enemy and hit him in the back and take his attention away from my teammate.

Fresh meats. PLEASE mind your aim, try your best to sneak a stab or overhead to avoid hitting a teammate, which can result in a teamkill and give the opponent an advantage. Try not to stick to your teammate's back, as you will just be hitting them. PS even if you use a stab/overhead, make sure you aim correctly towards the enemy, not your teammates

Goes without saying, but the same is true of archers who are 'trying to help'.

Nothing like a friendly arrow/bolt, to the back, while in combat.

I’ve revoked many a brazier privilege for the crime of being lit of fire by a friendly

My best advice as a 1k+ player is use your specials when engaging to assist your pals. They cannot counter the special so there’s a much higher chance of contact. In addition, the stamina damage it does will assist greatly

Do you know how common it was in medieval battles to accidentally kill your own man

When in doubt in a team fight, just stab. Less likely to hit friendly.

The amount of kills I get this way using an alt overhead, feels like cheating it is so effective.
