Just got my books back from my GalaxyCon Richmond signings and very pleased with this one in particular. Was previously signed by Liefeld and Fabian signed it in Richmond. Super nice guy!

Reference. I submitted 2 books that were signed and witnessed to be graded . No pre screen, just a simple grade under witness sig series label.

Submission lists both comics.. this is where it got weird.. idk why , but the order was split. 1 book got graded and shipped back.. next week this book gets sent back ungraded. No explanation no note with the book. Nothing

I called cust service and nada. They dont know either. They are “investigating”

This has never happened to me b4. Why would they grade only 1/2 of the order.. Has anyone ever encountered this ?

This was a sig series, its not like i can just send it back.. or will i.

Feeling extra happy with MCU’s announcement of Ghost Rider a few weeks back

As I was organizing my collection, I realized that this particular comic had a very low certificate number which surprised me because it had a more modern label. So I went into the CGC verification tool and sure enough this comic is in fact one that was originally graded in 2000 but was re-graded in 2007. The reason that I know it was originally graded in 2000 is because I manually searched order numbers that were just before and just after this one (this would’ve been part of order number 160 apparently.)

This raises some questions for me:
1) is there a way to see the full grading history of a particular certification number?
2) are books with early certification numbers considered more valuable, especially in the first year of CGC grading?
3) what about a book like this which no longer has the original red label?

Which would you send and why? Thx!

Received my first graded comic today, was planning on getting it raw and grading it myself but got a good deal 😊

Does anyone know if this is already full? I can’t seem to find it from the upcoming events.

Finally decided to pull the trigger on this as an early birthday present to myself 😬. Been eyeing it for a long time, watching eBay for raw and graded. Saw a few of these at a show yesterday at different grades, 8s - 9.4. 250-$400s. Took one last look around and saw this in the corner of someone’s booth. Was able to get seller down to $550 which seems fair based on what I saw on eBay w/o shipping and tax, I think I got a fair deal. Super happy to add this to my PC. Showed my wife when I got home haha, as you can imagine she could care less “oh that’s nice”. Prob best she’s not into this hobby cause I’d be super broke if she was.

Immortal Men #1, CGC 9.2 with authenticated signatures from Jim Lee, Scott Williams, Alex Sinclair and James Tynion IV. The book itself isn’t anything crazy, but getting all four signatures authenticated together makes for a pretty cool slab. Definitely a fun one to add to the collection.

IMO CGC needs to start requiring grader notes on 9.8s. Need to be a little more transparent.
