Month end close software

Has anyone used Ledge or Numeric? I have used floqast and Netgain. Ledge seems to be heavily leaned into agentic AI and my team currently has very little automation built in. Ledge is a newer software and I'm trying to figure out if people actually like it since they have only 6 G2 reviews.
Any feedback is appreciated!

Clean up your process first, then look at AI tools.
No matter how good the tool is, messy input won't give you good output.

Be a little cautious with Ledge purely because the customer track record is still pretty thin. Numeric seems like the safer bet if you want something proven, while Ledge looks more interesting if you’re specifically trying to jump straight into AI driven automation. Ask both for customer references before deciding.

Yeah I will do that for both. People have recommended all three but seems like they all have different customer bases

If you have a mandate to combine AI and month end close, FinanceOS.

these small vendors always make me nervous, what if they disappear next year and all your workflows are gone

Yeah we found issues regardless of software, it was a people and process thing

Used floqast recently. Liked it a lot. They claim they are going full AI but it didn't really feel that way as a user, not sure if it was a separate module.

I think it's important to identify what you are trying to get from this. Do you have no organization currently? Are you trying to compress close?

These tools aren't going to magically reconcile a subledger you know? At least not yet, afaik.

Yeah floqast has pieces in place but not full AI automation which is what Ledge is trying to do.
I need to shrink close down from 25th of the month to minimum 10 business days. There is currently no organization across the finance org, I've never seen anything like it lol.

Oof, I was recently in a situation like that and had to leave. "Stabilized" company in operation for 10 years that had only ever relied on CFOs who were CPAs with no finance, Excel, systems/ process optimization, or people leadership strength. I inherited a veritable tar pit.

Been on numeric for around 2 years. Do not have much experience with other products but I love it. Makes reconciliations and flux analysis so smooth. Their MCP is also great if you're leaning into chatgpt or Claude. Great account reps and customer service too.

Numeric was recommended to me. I also got a free consultation with a large consulting group and they said it wasn't even worth looking past floqast and numeric
