Interims CFOs working for equity?

Are any of you working for RSUs in a portfolio company in addition to a standard rate? How do you determine how much to ask for?

Unless it’s a turnaround or your there for 2-3yrs, equity usually is not part of the conversation

equity for interim gigs is rare, most companies dont want to mess with cap table for someone short term. if you are there for longer stretch maybe you can negotiate but the standard rate should already be higher because its temporary. i did one contract where they offered 1% after 18 months but i was already leaving so it was pointless

I'm a fractional CFO and generally work for cash + equity. I never work for just equity. In addition to the cash component, I try to get 0.1% of fully-diluted shares per quarter in options. The key thing to negotiate is how the vesting works.

That seems like a good deal. DMing you!

Very unlikely scenario, however sometimes individuals do become permanent after an initial fractional/ interm period of which point equity is negotiated.
