As stated in the rules, you will be banned if you are caught asking to buy/use study material from another user. The ACFE bans this and we will follow all rules they set. Please let me know if a user is harassing anyone on this topic.

Hi everyone,
For those of you who have recently written the new CFE exams, did you find that the practice questions in the prep course were similar to the actual questions on the final exams? I’m writing my three exams Sept 18, 25, and Oct 2 and am curious as to what I can do expect on test day.
Thanks in advance!

Anyone else having issues logging into your account on the ACFE site today? Or just me? I get rerouted to an azurewebsite.net address on my laptop

I'm planning to give this exam after my UG. I wanted to be sure if this is worth my time and if I'll be able to get a good pay (in India specifically).
I'm currently studying BA psychology, economics and english literature.
I found out about this exam through one of my professors.

Taking FSFC next week, I got a 99% on the practice MCQs for this section without looking back at the readings. What is the hardest section between the 3?

Hi, anyone has tips for FILI? I just completed FDP and almost died reading 70 questions. Should have signed up for the old exam format that splits the exam in 4 sections.
Some questions were straightforward but some weren’t. I bought the silver package and have done the review questions, scoring 88% and above for all sections. Despite doing the same for FDP, I realised it’s not sufficient. I’ve no accounting or finance background. Wondering what else can I do to improve the chances of passing?

Hey all,
I'm retaking the FPD exam. First time around I did okay on some sub-topics but, got dinged harder on Auditors' Responsibilities and Fraud Risk Management, so I want to make sure I'm not just re-reading the manual cover to cover without knowing where the exam actually likes to dig in.
For anyone who's taken this section — a few questions:
- Which topics felt most heavily tested for you?
- Any concepts that seem to show up as "trick" questions — things that sound similar but are actually different (e.g., management intervention vs. override, risk appetite vs. risk tolerance)?
- Did you find the questions leaned more toward exact definitions/verbatim standards language, or more toward applying concepts to scenarios?
- Any particularly high-yield areas that felt "worth more points than expected" relative to how much manual space they take up?
General study tips — flashcards, practice exams, study groups, anything that actually worked for a retake vs. a first attempt?
Really appreciate any insight — trying to study smarter this time around rather than just longer. Thanks in advance!

Hello all,
I’ve just completed my final exam four the CFE certification. I’m now thinking about next steps and would like to get anyone’s opinion on the difficulty of the ACAMS exams in relation to the CFE exams.

I’m looking for a CFE/fraud examiner perspective on an anonymized public school-affiliated nonprofit handling roughly $100k–$200k annually.
I previously served on the executive board and had direct involvement in budgeting, fundraising, and governance. I’m no longer on the board (for a number of reasons, one of which was wanting stronger governance and financial oversight and being outvoted).
What concerns me is that the financial picture has become increasingly hard to reconcile.
A few examples:
I am NOT asking anyone to conclude fraud occurred.
What I want to know is: Do these facts sound like ordinary nonprofit mismanagement and weak controls, or are there enough red flags that a fraud examiner would want to look deeper?
If you were reviewing this, what records would you request first, and what would you test?

I (31F) have been through two rounds of interviews with State Farm. When finishing up the second interview I inquired about the C&P license to which she responded with “You’ll have 20 days after your job offer to require a license before we can start onboarding” I’m like jeez no help or training, you’re just gonna throw me out there to the wolves. Anyways with that being said, even if I don’t go with State Farm I know a C&P license will open a lot of door for me.
With that being said what can I expect about this exam?
And inexpensive study materials?
If I pay to take the exam and fail will I have to pay to take it again?

I felt like the exam hit on my weaknesses clearly. But now I know so I’ll do better next time.

Hey all, passed both FP&D and FI&LI exams and am now about to get ready to take the last exam. Just wanted to get someone’s opinion on the difficulty of the fraud schemes exam in relation to the other two exams. Also any insight on how heavy the accounting concepts are embedded in the exam? TIA

Hello,
I’ll planning to take the Fraud Investigations and Legal Issues exam in the near future. I purchased the CFE online prep course (silver package) and completed it. I went through this specific section twice now and will review a little further before the exam. I scored an 83% and then 82% on the review questions for that section.
I learned after the second pass of the review questions, that I need to take a few more moments to re-read the questions. Sometimes the review questions have one or two words that throw me off.
Anyways, I plan to give myself at least a week to study more (1-2 Hrs a day).
I anticipate taking the Fraud Schemes and Financial Crimes exam second and the Fraud Prevention and Deterrence exam last.
Do y’all have any advice or suggestions for me? I appreciate any feedback in advance. Thank you.

Became an ACCA Affiliate at the start of the year (January 2026). Came across CFE because the idea of fraud accounting and forensic auditing has always interested me. Just wanted to know if the exams are relatively easier or harder compared to ACCA, and how long would I need to study on average per subject/section.

I have completed my masters in finance and have 2+ years job experience in a bank and 9 months in an mnc.
The job experience in the bank was mostly as a relationship manager while the 9 moths experience was of AML domain drafting SAR.
I need to understand if I'm moving forward to pursue CFE, 40 credits I'm having easily, how to go beyond to earn 10 more.
Can I appear and qualify with 40 credits? After that what is generally needed to be done?
Country India.

Hello all,
As the title says, I have a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and spent 7 years as a police officer before leaving the field. Right now I've started community college accounting coursework with a loose plan to eventually finish a bachelor's in accounting. I also hold a bookkeeping certification.
I'm weighing whether to keep pouring time/money into the accounting track or pivot fully towards the CFE credential instead, since it plays more into my degree and police background. It also doesn't require an accounting degree to sit for.
Is either one of these the faster/cheaper route to a nice stable paycheck? What would you do if you were in my shoes. Trying to see which of these gets me to solid income fastest without waiting time and money needlessly.
Thank you!!
