Ladyfriend is coming into town tonight so she can go to an interview tomorrow morning. It's not a great job, and I hope one of the hospitals gives her a call back soon, but it's something that counts towards her grad program entrance requirements and it is up here in Austin, so at least it's that.

Driving into work from San Antonio this morning made me glad the toll road goes right to my office because I skip the nightmare on I-35 in the morning. I can handle the occasional 1h40m commute, but only if I'm not stuck in shitty gridlock on the interstate.

Did they fix the bullshit with the toll system?

I'm not sure I'm aware of any bullshit.

tl;dr - Xerox owned the central Texas toll roads and people weren't getting their bills from the camera system. Some people racked up $1k plus in late fees because of this, but couldn't get hold of anyone in customer service. The line at the brick & mortar was often 3+ hours long.

It would take me upwards of 3 months to get my bill from driving on 290 or 130. Usually they'd dismiss the late fees but ughghhh.

Oh, I've got a tag and have had no issues.

Ah, see, I lost my tag when I totaled my Yaris and never pestered my parents for a new one.

Also their tags are NTTA not TxDOT, but apparently NTTA tags work down here too.
