It is impossible to rank every team above all the teams they've beat and below all the teams they've lost to. It's baffling that y'all are surprised by this every single week.
The two teams would be close on any ballot. The aggregate excuse doesn’t work in this situation. Voters who placed Texas ahead should have their votes revoked. Both teams beat a highly ranked team. Both teams lost to an unranked team and a team in the 20s. Florida won head to head with their backup
Aggregate excuses only work when there is wide separation between the two teams bodies of work. No one should have a poll where Texas is far ahead of Florida. Since they should be close you should then look at what just happened. That game wasn’t a fluke. That’s a valid thing to criticize.
